What 2022 Honda Passport owners say

Driver assistance

First new car in my life and I'm 70. When we bought the car, within a week the entire dash board lit up with warnings. Call the dealer, they towed it to their shop and "calibrated" the Collision Mitigation front facing camera. This service was Completed but within the next 2 years, the situation repeated itself over and over But would always go away. The last time the system failed (with all of the bells and whistles) I went back to Honda and they informed me a replacement was required. $1500 later the front facing Multipurpose Camera was replaced. The car's 3 year warranty expired 2 months before the needed replacement. The dealer told me that these cameras have been a significant problem, and are replaced often. The replacement camera has a different part number from what was installed on the car when built. …

Warnings · Jul 2025

I have twice now attempted to get this recall fixed and the dealer -Ken Garf Honda of Riverdale, Utah- has refused to schedule the appointment within 60 days of being notified. I attempted to schedule the recall repair in July when first notified of the recall and was told they could not schedule it with the parts being ordered. They said they'd order the parts and contact me, but never did. Today at 10:30 a.m. MT I attempted to again schedule the recall repair and they again said it could not be scheduled until the parts are ordered and they gave me an estimated date of when they would get back to me of 90 days from today. I reminded them the law requires it to be repaired within 60 days of notice and they hung up on me. They are now refusing to take my calls.

77,000 miles · Sep 2025

I drive the car with the engine-idle-at-stop function disengaged. Several times when slowing down, but still moving, the car shifts into park; the AC and radio remain on. I have to press engine start to start the engine. Several other times when already stopped, such as at a red light or in traffic, waiting to make a turn, the engine shuts off and the car shifts into park. I have to press the engine start button to turn the car back on. I am getting honked and hollered at in traffic, and could easily be vulnerable to being rear-ended when my moving car suddently turns off ad stops running (winds up in Park). A non-dealer ran diagnostics and found No History of any error codes, and the system worked when they drove it. The day before the non-dealer had the car, it shut off 2 times in about 2 miles. …
