What owners report
I was stopped at a stoplight and the car ahead of me moved up slightly so I took my foot off the brake. I did not accelerate by pressing the gas pedal and I was going approximately 1-2 MPH. Car in front of me slammed on their brakes and I tried to depress my brake and the brake alert signal inside the car started flashing, but it was a delayed reaction and the air bags in the steering wheel and below my feet by my legs deployed as I braked. There was no damage to the other car and a bumper gap occurred on my car and the air bags deployed and seatbelts locked in my vehicle. I barely touched the other car. Air bags malfunctioned by deploying at no real impact, air bag cut my hand, seatbelts were all replaced in vehicle, air bags replaced, bumper replaced, air bag sensor replaced.
I was driving merging onto the freeway and my sunroof completely shattered, no car was in front of me so, nor was I driving under a bridge, it just completely shattered. Looking as if someone grabbed a hammer or punched it, I know a rock wouldn't shatter it, maybe crack but no it shattered. The glass looks like it lifted too , not caved in , so almost as if there was too much pressure as well. Have seen similar cases , not sure if any have reported but yes I have seen similar issues occurring. Thankfully I had my headliner closed , so the glass fell on there I had to pull over and figure it out, I did not touch the glass at all, as I'm currently having my Honda Dealership look at it. Just hope it doesn't happen to others
Report: Peeling white pearl paint on my Honda civic. The car is 3 years old and already on the hood peeling off. I-Car certified body shop looked at the car and immediately said factory defect upon testing. They have told me no primer for paint to adhere to... will force me to repaint entire hood and front bumper. Honda has unjustifiably denied warranty coverage even with paper work proof from that shop (breach of warranty legally) though the car is under 36k miles. Will mention this is my second Honda suffering peeling paint after new. Previous civic was a 2020 with paint peeling off mirrors, roof, and handles. Will mention my white color is listed in a lawsuit for this exact defect. Platinum white pearl paint code - 2023 Hatchback civic. Why this is a serious problem? Rust concerns. Can cause structural issues if peeling is not addressed. …
Rear hatchback fills internally with water and only drains when tailgate is raised. Standing water and freeze/thaw cycle has potential to damage electrical components (taillights, rear camera, license plate light, rear defroster, rear wiper). This issue has been confirmed by Honda dealer, but they have been unable to fix it after 3 attempts.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with EPS gearbox failure. The contact was informed that the EPS gearbox needed to be replaced. The EPS gearbox was replaced under an unknown recall however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the contact was informed that the bolts needed to be re-torqued. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that there was a crack between the display unit and the dashboard causing the rubbing sound. The contact was informed that a special tape was used to close the gap. The failure reoccurred. …
As I attempted to turn my steering wheel to exit interstate I-90 East, the steering wheel became increasingly hard to control and I heard a popping noise in my front driver side tire. My vehicle slid into the curb, resulting in the front driver side fender damage, tire damage, axel damage, and 3 deployed airbags. The vehicle's electric power steering failed and it is available for inspection. Both mine and my mom's safety were at risk, however no injuries occurred. I have not received a recall notice at all and the vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the power steering issue before this occurred.
The contact owns a 2020 Honda Civic. The contact stated that the front driver's side door failed to open as needed. The contact stated that several attempts were needed to open the door. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to the steel beams inside the door. The contact stated that the failure occurred frequently. The contact had suffered rotator cuff injuries on both shoulders. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.
I reported this issue to insurance. The facts are that when I was watching a family member's toddler, I went to my vehicle to grab a stack of papers. While holding her, I reached in and grabbed the papers sitting directly on the back seat of the coupe vehicle (I.e., easy to reach). Upon grabbing the papers in one hand and holding her on my left hip, I shut the drivers side door and began walking toward the home. Immediately, I heard an odd sound like a rustle or possibly an animal scurrying. I looked around confused because I hadn't seen anything and it wasn't too dark. Then I looked closer and the entirety of my back windshield was shattered into a billion pieces leaking into my back seats and onto the car seat placed there for when I frequently pick up the toddler. …
