There have been 3 times that this has happened. The first time I was driving and no car was in front of me. There was a car parked off to the side and my car sensored the car off to the side and the emergency braking system came on. My car slammed on the brakes automatically and I was going 45 mph and the seat belts locked up, while my car dived forward. I had to slam on the gas to avoid someone rear ending me behind me on a busy road. The other two times this happened occurred within 2 days of each other. The first was in broad daylight and my car sensored a shadow on the road, setting off the emergency braking system, making my car automatically brake and locking up the seat belts again. I was going 65 mph on this road as it was an interstate. I had to also slam on the gas to avoid an accident. …

I was pulling into a gas station when errors started scrolling on the dash, pretty much all of the driver assist options were failing then the power steering error came up and it was almost impossible for me to turn the wheel, luckily I was going slow. Had it towed to a service station and they could not even find out what the codes that were reported meant. So I had it towed to the Honda dealership, they expected rodent damage but found none and neither did the service station. Honda then said it was the battery, but the car started great without even a second of hesitation so I was not sure how it could be the battery. They replaced the battery and said it was fixed $385.00 later. Less than 24hrs later, only about 2 hours of drive time, same issue except this time I was driving on a main road at 50MPH.. I barely managed to slow down and pull over before the steering went out again. …

Automatic emergency braking · Dec 2022

On multiple occasions, at least 10, my automatic braking detector system has engaged when no other cars were in front of me or around me on the road. It has happened while driving in the city at slow speeds, on the highway at 70-80mph, and most recently while going up ramp to merge onto interstate. The automatic brakes will engage causing my car to slightly brake and I then have to accelerate, especially while on the interstate, to keep the car moving or else it could just stop in the middle of the road with a potential to cause a deadly accident. My cruise control no longer works either. I wonder if these issues are synonymous? My safety and the safety of others is definitely at risk with my car randomly braking with no cars in front of me or next to me. …

Adaptive cruise control · Jan 2024

I was driving straight going 35mph on a 2 lane rd when my steering wheel starting making a weird noise & almost was shaking. The steering wheel then locked up to the left & wouldn't move. This caused my driver side tire to go into the curb, & at this point my steering wheel was spinning in circles & all I could do was brake. After bumping off the curb I then was thrusted back over to the right lane (due to having no steering control) where I came to a stop grazing another vehicle. My insurance performed diagnostics on the vehicle & determined the steering rack housing assembly part failed, causing the accident. …

I was driving down the highway near where I live in Hanford California the highway is 198. I was going 68, 69 mph. No one was on the road my car literally slammed on its brakes and jerked to the right.this has happened 2times I have turned off the assist I'm to afraid it will happen again. I am bringing it into the dealership tomorrow and also have them check my airbags the light in the dashboard intermittently keeps coming on then after a bit it will turn off. The first time I brought it in for the airbag lights coming on they informed me that it was due to me pulling the seat back to far I am 5 foot four. I don't normally pull the seat back. It would be more closer to the steering wheel for me, but there was a problem supposedly with the connection that is under the seat it doesn't make me feel too safe to think that me moving. …

1.The Automatic Breaking System malfunctioned, and is available for inspection upon request. 2. Safety was at risk because in March 2020, the car stopped itself on North Carolina route 70 in the middle of traffic without warning and without cause/reason. 3. Dealership inspected the system on April 1st, 2021 and found no issue. They told me to manually turn off the system every time I start the car. 4. No, the car was not inspected for the ABS by the manufacturer, police, insurance, or anyone else. 5.No warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms were on. Finding this article has prompted me to pursue the problem again. https://myfox8.com/news/money-matters/over-1-7m-hondas-investigated-for-unexpected-automatic-braking/?utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=socialflow&utm_source=facebook.com&fbclid=IwAR3h1YQ5WtFCpKL7VaZ4jB2gP4TmhAukrSG72UX_7pLXQF7XN4bMQIWITDc
