What 1995 GMC Yukon owners say

Seats all 26 →

Failure of driver seat mounting on the window side. The consumer found that the mounting holes, one on each corner of the seat, were retrofitted on the window-side (front & rear) by spot welding a threaded washer about three inches to the right of the corner holes to facilitate mounting of the seat to the rail on the floorboard. This particular design caused metal fatigue surrounding the spot-welded washers, resulting in the seat breaking loose.

Aug 2004

The bolts that hold the driver's seat frame are cracking, causing the seat to rock back and forth. This is the third time that the bolts have broken away from the frame since purchasing the vehicle in August of 1995. The manufacture/dealer are aware of the problem. The dealer has replaced the bolts twice. The bolts do not correct the problem.

Dt: the anti-lock brakes pulsated at low speeds. The consumer could feel it in the pedal and could slightly hear it kick in. It did this on dry roads NHTSA recall 05V279000 was issued in August 2005. But this vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN. Went to the dealer and basically said the recall would not go into affect until November 2005. Started noticing this around July 15, 2005, and it did this occasionally.

Antilock/traction control/electronic limited slip · 140,000 miles · Jul 2005

In August 1997 original manufacture battery leaked acid thus corroding the air bag sensor, positive & negative cables & corroding other metal parts to frame of the Yukon. There is now visible rust due to the acid leak. GM dealer martin GMC replaced the battery under warranty. For the second time on 11/24/99 with the 1yr battery GM replaced leakage occured again. This time my anti-lock brake sensor light came on. Needless to say, I had to pay out of pocket $543.94 for replacement of sensor, new front brakes, & new rotors for a vehicle with only 54,194 miles. Also, GM refused to replace the 1year old battery that was leaking because the car was no longer under manufacture warranty even though the battery had leaked previously under warranty. They wanted me to purchase a batter for $80.00. I refuses & purchased a battery at walmart. …
