Back up lights and Tail light problems My Back up lights turn on when the headlights are turned on and do not shut off unless the headlights are off. Also, recently, the rear tail lights were burning out early and would last only two weeks. The source of the problem seems to be in the fuse box. There is no short in the system. It appears to be in the fuse box of the 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. Bulbs were replaced and burned out quickly. Replacement parts are expensive and this problem exists on other Chevrolet and GMC trucks.
The high and low beams quit working while driving at night. This caused safety issue for myself and other drivers. Fuses good and bulbs good. Have seen multiple listings online about the same thing happening to other owners.
The headlights are dangerously dim, can't drive the vehicle comfortably at night. There seems to be no solution for fixing them. A TSB has been issued concerning this, but does little to address fixing the problem.
The headlights are a huge safety issue, they are very dangerous at night. You can not see sides or in front of you . I hit a deer standing n the middle of the road, did not see it till it was right in front of me. My wife has a 2006 tahoe and her headlights are much better than the one in a 2014. GMC needs to fix it before people start dying
The headlights on the 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 are not adequate for night time rural driving. On 7 oct 2014 at approx. 5:30 am a deer ran into the side of my truck hitting just behind the driver's side front wheel because I was not able to see it in time to avoid hitting it because of the poor headlight lighting design of the truck. If the headlight lighting design on the truck was adequate I would have been able to avoid hitting the deer.the low beams do not light up the shoulder of the road enough or in front of you for more than approx. 50' to 75' (that's probably being generous) and the high beams are just as bad and point up in the air. The NHTSA should immediately do something about this and make GM fix this problem before someone is killed or seriously injured or is that what you are waiting on to happen before you do something about this problem. …
