I am reporting a serious and ongoing safety issue involving my 2015 Ford Fusion. The vehicle experiences intermittent power steering failure while driving. The steering assist will suddenly disengage and re-engage without warning, making the vehicle extremely difficult to control. This condition becomes even more dangerous in wet weather, where the vehicle is sometimes nearly undriveable. Additionally, I am now experiencing a popping noise in the steering wheel. This raises concern of a possible mechanical failure consistent with known recalls involving steering wheel bolt defects that could result in the steering wheel detaching. …
The latch on the driver door is stuck and I am unable to close my door. My car is a 2015 and I bought it used. I have not received a recall on this. I saw that there was a recall for this reason but it does not cover my year. What do I do?
Front passenger door stopped closing on the 10th of July without any warning so I am forced into driving with a partially closed door tied with rope and I see that multiple people have filed a complaint about the same problem.
Was rear ended turning off mountain highway by an f350 and a van hit the truck that hit me, he was going at least 50 miles an hour when he hit me felt like he shoved me so hard I was airborne!!! No airbag went off which the officer who was on a witness to the accident and then stopped and made sure everyone was OK !! My body still hurts !!
On my commute to work, the passenger door flew up by itself. No one was in the vehicle with me thank god and also it was a single lane road. I pulled over immediately, realized that my latch was not latching and it seems to be broken. Tied the door together with my belt and drove to the nearest gas station.bought some tension bands to hold the door from flying open. When I called Ford about my issue, they advise there was nothing they can do because my warrently expired and there is no recall on my vehicle. I showed and explained to the rep that there are other Ford fusions with similar issues. She ran my VIN and told me that I was not eligiable and that I would have to come out of pocket $535.....called ther customer service number, the rep told me that she will file my claim and I will receive an email letting me know if Ford will fix it or not. …
Fuse continues to pop. The vehicle was driven to a grocery store and after the shopping the vehicle started up briefly then died. We changed the fuse at the parking lot but it popped the fuse again. We ended up having it towed. The mechanic believes it is a fuel pump issue or wiring to the fuel pump. We are on military orders in italy and have been unable to reach Ford to authorize repair since we do have a valid extended warranty. Italian Ford dealers will not work on American spec cars. We have a certified mechanic who has access to Ford but needs the authorization code in order to start repairs and recalls. We are getting the run around with Ford's customer service hotlines and no one seems to be willing to help. We cannot ship the vehicle back to the states with active recalls on it. The vehicle is completely broke down currently. We are upset on how Ford supports its military!
I opened the rear driver door, placed groceries in the back seat, and attempted to shut the door. The door wouldn't latch shut at this point. The latch was in the open position and I could emulate the striking plate with a screwdriver and it would close, but there wasn't any resistance when sliding the screw driver out. I suspect that supporting spring broke. The dealership confirmed the issue was the door latch and neither the dealership or Ford customer support would consider my car was affected by the same issue as many other recalled Ford vehicles because the VIN was not associated with a recalled factory. I just want to make sure that due diligence is done to ensure that there is not another batch of vehicles with a safety issue that has already been deemed worthy of a recall.
Driving from ca to co for christmas. While driving down the road, the "door open" light came on and the chime sounded as locked left rear door opened!! Unacceptable for a company that has made vehicles for over 100 years! I did a google search on the problem looking for a fix. I found a recall for years 2013-2014 only. No recall for my 2015, when it is obvious the cost saving measures still apply. I had to tie the door closed with the seatbelt, but it's not tight enough to keep the warnings off. No one can sit in the back seat due to seatbelts being used! We are afraid the other door latches will soon fail as well. We still have to drive back to ca!
Driver side passenger door handle broke and the latch to lock the door to the frame does not hold unless manually pushing the latch on the door itself down to enable the latch to catch and hold the bar on the frame. Otherwise, the door is not secured to the frame. The door handle has been sticking for a few days and on Sunday May 21, 2017 I tried to open the driver side passenger door and the handle pulled away from the door and would not open. I had to open the said door from the inside. I tried pushing the handle back in and it would not push in. It is dangerous and afraid the door May open during vehicle operation.
Dust is getting in side of car under the back doors. Dust is in the floor and back seat. Car is in motio when the dust get in side of car. The car is on dirt road for 1 mile until I get to the highway. When driving on dirt road I can see dust in the air inside of car. I have had dust coming into the car from 09-2014 throught today.
