Takata recall. I was driving down the road and my truck shut off randomly my overdrive light started flashing after this and continued to flash and still shuts off so I replaced my fuel filter, cps sensor and it still shuts off. It's like I'm goin down the road and it stalls. It does it more than once when I'm driving I just shut it off and start it again.
The left rear wheel separated from the vehicle, which caused the vehicle jerk foward. The consumer requested an 03 vehicle or reimbursement for the incidental expenses. After the purchase of the vehicle, the manual, lockable hub(s) began to fail. The dealer convinced the consumer(s) to purchase 8 ply tires, but this didn't reduce the noise or hub problems, the consumer also experienced acceleration problem's. The dealer couldn't find the problem. The engine idled rough and the engine light had come on. A bad cam sensor was found, and a sound had come from the fuel pump. An adapter to the metal plate was built in, extending from the underdash, to the firewall, to provide a better ground system. Scc
I have a 1999 Ford f-350 with the v-10 engine and only 60,000 miles. Coming back from denver - not hauling anything - the engine blew out a spark plug. This is a know defect and well documented on Ford problems.com. Given the number of occurrences that this has happened, and the possible safety issues with a blown out plug I respectively request that this be considered as a recall matter on all such equipped vehicles.
While4 driving at 40 MPH consumer heard a popping noise under the hood. Consumer had the vehicle towed. Dealership informed the consumer that the problem pertained to the spark plug failure. The problem was not resolved. The cylinder head failed. The spark plug fell out of the engine.
This questionnaire is complicated. There are problems too numerous to list all here. This vehicle has rear end problems, engine, diesel exhaust, fumes inside truck' cupping of the tires and front end problems. The towing power is terribble. Cruise control kicks off if truck is in a pull on a slight incline. Loss of power like engine dies when you pull off from stop. Dealer is trying to fix, but so far no luck. Dealer has ask regional to contact us with no response. They have called almost everyday for two weeks. Know several other owner of f350 with same problems. We need help in getting these problems solved. If any other owners have similar problems please contact ralph taylor 410 pervie bolick st., eden,nc 27288 [phone] or [phone]. Thank you
Transmission system malfunctioned, which while reversing and pulling a trailer, transmission overheated and burned out. Dealer redesigned the transmssion and cooling system. Vehicle was still experiencing the problem, and vehicle downshifted, it did not slow down the vehicle. Please provide further information. The vehicle is not equiped with mechanism to control vehicle's speed when descending steep grades. The transmission failed twice prematurely. The transmission also over heats under heavy load and when driving in reverse.
I bought my truck in feb. Of '99 and change the oil and filter every 3000 mi.. I use motorcraft parts and I only use the truck for hauling soda drinks for my business. Needless to say, the truck is still like brand new!! From the very beginning, the engine would develop a slight knocking about 10 to 20 seconds after initial start-up in morning. As the miles increased, so did the length of time the knock took to go away. The knock has gotten louder and longer and the dealer where I took it on sat. 3/17/2001, told me I need new motor!!
Due to defective turbo intake which blewout vehicle stalled while driving. This might have caused a crash. Dealer fixed this part 5 times, but it is still reoccurring. Also, while downshifting from 2nd gear to 1st gear vehicle will go into reverse automatically, causing damages to the rear part of vehicle. One turbo lost its power and shutdown before being pulled over to road side. The transmission does not go into reverse gear.
1. The engine is starved of air when driven on snow and ice. Snow gets packed in the air cleaner box and freezes. The air intake is pulled from the wheel well. 2. Road debris and rocks load up the bottom of all doors. Weatherstripping is required.
Vehicle will stall intermittently without warning ,almost acting as if it ran out of fuel. It will take about 5-10 minutes before vehicle will restart. When vehicle stalls it will lose all power brakes and power steering. Dealer cannot determine cause.
