Wheels & tires all 40 →
Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle's front wheel fractured and detached once and almost detached a second time. There were no warning signs that LED up to the problems with the wheels. The first occurrence was in 2005 and completely detached and the second time, in 2006, after viewing the wheel the contact observed cracks in the wheel. The wheel was replaced before it completely fractured. The contact expressed the reason for the cracks was the way the wheel was mounted to the front hub which causes stress cracks in the wheel itself.
I wias traveling on hwy. 27 outside of blakely ga on 09-17-15. My front drivers side tire tread belt separated. I lost control of the vehicle and narrowly avoided a severe accident. The tire was a pro-comp all terrain load range e 265/75/16.

3 car pile up. Our truck was the 3rd vehicle. Impact speed 35 to 45 MPH. We have a 1 ton truck that had the frame bent and motor mount that broke. Repair damage est. To be $9,000. The air bags did not deploy.
Truck has 56K miles on it. My wife was driving a couple of miles from hom ewhen she heard a loud bang or pop noise which shook the truck. The truck then continued making a loud noise, she drove back home and after looking at the engine, I determined that a coil pack had blown off. The spark plug was also attached to it so the next morning I called my local Ford dealer, av Ford and they said more than likely it's what they call a 'blown plug'. They estimated the head should be replaced since this would strip the threads of the head. The service advisor said this is a common problem and that both heads should be replaced at a cost of $5800 because otherwise I might have the same problem again in a short amount of time. I did some research online and found that this problem is very common with the Ford v10 engines from about 1999-2003. …

I purchased a 1999 f-350 super duty dually. From records from the pervious owners problems and the problems I have had with this truck, I can not belive service problems I have had. A couple of months ago the parking brake blew when I was on almost level ground and need least to say the truck rolled and crashed, lucky not one was hurt.but it did quit a bit of damage to the truck and my trailor. Now I know this is a problem on these fords but not yet on my perticulare truck. Also in the last three months I have put in a new clutch witch is expected. And have had close to $ 3,000 in brake repairs????? That was not!!!drums cracking, hubs exploading witch I understand in a problem too but not on my truck yet?????? Please have some one contact me I need some guidence, information, help I have had no help from Ford.
I was traveling on the expressway with my 99 Ford f-350 pulling a 5th wheel trailer when the front driver's side tire blew out. As I wrestled the truck to the shoulder, the brakes completely failed. As far as I could tell, even the electronic brakes on the trailer weren't helping to stop me as I drifted to a stop on the shoulder. The tire tread when it shredded apparently blew out a vacuum hose and there May have been some other connector or line associated with the ABS system that was affected - but I think it was just the vacuum hose. The mechanic who got us back on the road said that when the hose went out, the ABS system thought the tire was locked so it shut off the brakes - apparently all of them. If I had been in city traffic, we'd have plowed into vehicles in front of us potentially resulting in death or severe injury for someone. …
