What owners report

February, 2026 - approximately 14,039 miles. The vehicle experienced a breakdown/engine shutdown on a major highway. The truck was towed to a Ford Service Dept and they described it as "engine failure" and "repair throttle body". We were lucky to not be involved in an accident with the truck suddenly shutting off at 70mph. August 20, 2026 through August 28, 2026 - 22,824 miles. I reported multiple serious concerns. After driving, stopping the vehicle, and returning approximately 10 minutes later, numerous IPC warning codes appeared and the vehicle could not be shifted into reverse or drive until after cycling the ignition several times. The vehicle required a tow-in to the dealer. On one of the incidents the truck again shutdown and had to be towed. The dealership advised it's a software problem. This power-boost F150 truck is unsafe.

2024 F-150 Hybrid · Feb 2026

Several times now the truck will get "stuck" in N or D and will not move. No loss of power, and can't manually shift out to park. Now waiting for a tow to the dealer, they were supposed to correct this when I took it in the last time it happened but didn't. There are a lot of online complaints IRT this issue with the powerboost 150 and other 150s. Mine was made at the Dearborn plant. Huge safety issue and it needs to be addressed

On Sunday, [redacted], my truck spontaneously burst into flames while parked in my front yard. I had just returned from doing a number of errands. The truck had been running fine with no indications of a problem. I was outside tending to my smoker when I heard a sort of popping/crackling noise. I looked up at my truck approximately 40 feet away and saw flames shooting out from the engine bay through the hood gaps. I called 911 and attempted to douse the flames with a powder fire extinguisher with no luck. By the time the fire department arrived 15 minutes later or so, the truck was fully involved and burnt to the frame. I didn't smell gasoline during the initial startup, but a strong smell of burning wires. The concerns are of course for my safety and that of my family. It was just luck that the truck was parked in the front yard rather than next to my house where it's normally parked. …
