Driving on santa fe blvd in denver co. Was coming to a red light, pressed the brakes and they went to the floor, swerved into next lane with cars further away, and avoided a crash as the light changed.. This is a very heavy traffic area and I am lucky to not have caused a accident involving several cars.. Lawsuit appropriate !
1. Vehicle clunk and lurch forward right before it reaches complete stop. 2. With fully aligned wheels, the steering wheel can not be centered when going straight. Vehicle wanders on perfectly leveled road.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 Ford e-i50. The contact stated that the front brake pad was grinding the rotor and caused the steering to pull to the left and right. The dealer shaved the rotor and replaced the pads, but the failure recurred a month later. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where they shaved the rotor and replaced the pads again, but the failure recurred. When the vehicle was taken back to the dealer, the contact was informed that the vehicle was operating the way it should. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 11,426.
I only have 8000 miles on it, and the steering wheel is shaking when I touch the brakes. It also has squeaked from the day I bought it. I took it back to the dealer, they didn't hear the squeak. It is only when I back up.
When applying the brakes the first braking action doesn't seem to be as effective as say the second application as far as bringing the vehicle to a stop, when in motion. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's on the street or highway or turning. March of 2016 I had to make a sudden stop and didn't think I would avoid the vehicle in front of me. However a semi tractor with trailer rear ended me causing about $5,000.00 damage to the left rear of the e-150. Before taking the vehicle on vacation I reported the braking issue with the andy mohr Ford in plainfield in., they said the brakes needed bled with a machine and that if that didn't fix the issue they would bleed them manually. I didn't take it back because they didn't seem to have a clue as to what the problem might be. I paid for the machine bleed, just around $100.00. …
The brake foot control locks up and vehicle continues to roll. You can not stop. It's worse when vehicle is cold. In the beginning it was just when backing up after vehicle was just started, now it's also doing the same thing when going forward. You have no stopping power as brake pedal will not do anything and you just continue rolling.....updated 10/15/15 updated 11/22/2017
I was driving down a hill and my brakes failed totally. I ran head on into a tree which caused me to blackout. Once rescued from truck I was told the air bag never deployed. So I feel there are two failures here the brakes and the air bag.
I purchased a new 2005 Ford passenger van in May 2006 I have since put 45,000 miles on this vehicle. I have poor gas milage approximately 6 miles to the gallon pulling a trailer. I was told that this vehicle would get at least 11. I have black smoke blowing out the tailpipe. And I have had brake failure 5 times now during cold weather driving conditions. I have taken the vehicle in repeatedly for these problems but the dealership told me that I was imagining them, and Ford told me unless the dealership could verify my problem that they won't do anything about it.
