There is a piece in the driving gear shift that allows you to shift out of park and drive your vehicle. When this piece breaks it will not allow the gear shift to move out of park. This has been occurring in many Dodge vehicles. I have had four other people complain that this has happened to their car also. It seems to be a little plastic piece that seems very easy to break. It is inside the driving gear shift. It will just not allow the vehicle to move out of park but will allow to move through drive, reverse, and the other shifts.

My Dodge Magnum keeps going into limp mode. Limits to 35 MPH and will slow you to 35 quickly. I took it in to a Dodge dealer and they preformed a TCM update and allowed me to take the car I made it 5 miles before going into limp mode. I took it back to the dealer and they told me they cleared the code and I could drive it for a while before it would go in limp mode. ( so I could drive off and get in traffic on open road go in limp mode and possibly crash or be crashed into going 35 MPH on a 65mph interstate) not safe in my books. This is my 4th Dodge and 3rd time I have had a similar problem. 05 Magnum, 07 Magnum. 05 Ram 1500. There is forms where this happens often. I think Dodge should fix the problem and not charge me everytime they have to look at it. 70$ just to tell me it's in limp mode when I already knew that and knew what code was tripped for check engine light

I had bought the car in January 2015 and had the car serviced at Dodge dealer and was told the car (2006 Dodge Magnum sxt) did not have any issues upon a 23 point inspection on 2/7/2015. The car began to leak fluid, I took the vehicle back to the dealer on 2/14/2015 and the leak could not be identified and was told by the dealer that no leaks were present. On the date in question, I was driving between speeds of 30 and 45 as the car was shaking towards the back wheels. After coming to a stop at a light and commencing to drive again, the drive shaft of the car broke off and I stopped the car immediately.
