I am writing about what I feel was a severe airbag malfunction. I was in a crash that was high enough impact to total my rental vehicle...smash the front windshield, and turn the front end of the vehicle into an accordion; moreover, the accident could have ended my life. I escaped with torn muscles in my shoulders, hairline cracks in my front teeth and a broken collar bone. As the driver, I am highly suspicious about the airbags not deploying in such a high impact incident. The incident occurred when a motorist ran a redlight and ran into the front drivers side of my vehicle. Where all the other motorist in the accident had airbags deploy, the police and emergency crews were amazed that the vehicle did not respond differently in the accident.
On Thursday October 13, I was getting an item from back of my car. I hit my head on the hanging t.v. I went in to my work and we called a family member who took me into my dr. Office. I had a cut on top of my head and they had to put staples on top of my head...by Sunday, I was in such pain, I went in to see the doctor on Monday which they sent me to the hospital for a scan test on my head...I end up having post concussion and I miss 7 days of work....my biggest concern is for my grandkids, they could gotten very hurt on the t.v..sharp corner...I am going to ask my son to tape the t.v.s up so no one else can get hurt. Yes, I do have a lot of pain, but it could have been worse...
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact attempted to start the ignition three times and the engine immediately stalled. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer for diagnosis. The vehicle continued to remain at the dealer for further investigation where the contact was awaiting a diagnosis of the failure. The manufacturer was also notified of the problem. In addition, the wiring to the dome light was faulty which caused the dome light to melt two years prior to the most recent failure. The manufacturer had not been notified. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. ....updated 08-24-12 the consumer stated when the vehicle's engine turned off the instrument cluster remained illuminated. The radio switches stations, turns on the cd player, and switches between am/fm. The dealership acknowledged there is an electrical problem but, cannot find the problem. …

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who stated that the air conditioner was leaking coolant. The vehicle was not repaired. There was a recall related to the failure on the 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. The NHTSA campaign id number was 10V611000 (equipment: electrical: air conditioner). I was braking as I was descending a hill on the highway when the front brakes got so hot that my automobile started to shimmy. I stopped and discovered that my right front brakes were on fire. I had my front brakes pads and rotors replaced about 7,000 miles ago with mopar value line brakes at the Dodge dealership. My vehicle is a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan with 56,380 miles on it.
My minivan's air conditioning stopped working so I took it into the dealer. This car already was in for a recall on the rear air conditioning/heating lines which were replaced in November of 2006. The dealer told me that it was not the recall lines that were leaking but the rear extension lines which are after the recall lines. The parts are also on backorder for well over one month or more. I was told that they were having a lot of repairs on this part. I cannot help but believe that the original recall for rear air conditioning/heating lines should have included the rear air conditioning/heating extension lines also. Bear in mind that my van is around 3 1/2 years old with 42,112 miles on it.
For the second time this year a window has exploded on my 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan. I was driving down the road at posted speed, light traffic, sunny day, windows down, and pop, the passenger slider window shattered. It looked like it popped from the inside of the van. I was fortunate enough to pull over and was able to stop safely. Once I stopped the window just fell out. I called Chrysler customer service line and was advised by ms. J to proceed to the dealer that I had purchased the car from to have the vehicle inspected. I went to the dealer the following morning, and the service manager refused to even look at the window. I explained that this was the second incident this year where a window has exploded, and he told me since he didn't see the first one there was nothing he could do. No documentation, not even a drive in the car. …
The day after I bought my 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan/se it started making funny noises and the steering felt funny. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the rack and pinion system. Since then the vehicle continues to pull to the right and the front tires are wearing fast. I took it back and they did a front end alignment. It is still pulling and I took it somewhere else and they checked the alignment and said it was off. I took it back to the dealer and told them and they said it was not and they did nothing. Meanwhile my front tires continue to wear fast. I have a warranty on the tires but Goodyear says it is a factory/dealer problem causing it. (ignore equipment section on this complaint, it was done in error and I can't get rid of it).
