After smelling brakes during a 10 mile trip to local store I looked at rear drivers side rotor to see it glowing cherry red in the night. Extreme heat was coming from the wheel well and wheel camber appeared to be affected from excessive heat. Working on trying to get it in for a warranty check, but to me this is ridiculous for a vehicle 2 years old with 25K miles. Sounds like mechanical failure of the caliber which I could replace myself, but from what I've read online this is a repetitive issue and a huge money pit.
While driving one day, out of the blue my can would not go over 25 to 30 MPH. It would shake violently if we went faster. We got it to the mechanic and the brakes had almost caught on fire. It ruined one tire and the brakes and calipers. The mechanic said that this should have never happened. It was extremely dangerous. I reported it to Dodge. They said it had never happened. I want to make sure that it does get reported. I feel like I should be compensated for this. They said that there was nothing they could do since it never actually caught on fire. Really?

Good evening, I would like to actually put in a claim maybe just like the rest. A month ago I was driving on a highway and when I got off at my exit thank god the tire was completely flat when I called roadside assistance they said my tire did not have no hole and when he looked it was the tire stem that was broken this is the third time that this happen to my tire stems and all three times I was driving on the expressway. I would appreciate if there would be a claim open for faulty tire stems with Dodge grand caravans my year is a 2009. I am planning on contacting a lawyer I have three kids and I thank god that my children were not in the car with me. This has to be taken serious someone could really lose their life over these faulty tire stems. In the past two years my tire stem breaks up and my tire goes completely flat. …
This is the second (TPMS) tire pressure sensor that has snapped off in my hands as I was attempting to put air into a low tire. These things are dangerous as the metal fatigues without warning or visible evidence of such. Especially living in an area like mine, where road salt, moisture, ice and snow and changes in temperature occur regularly these sensors can cause a sudden deflation of a tire if they break which might lead to a catastrophic crash. Luckily for me the two times it has occurred it has happened in my driveway. However, both times it necessitated jacking my vehicle up with full loads and on uneven ground, dangerous in itself.
The 2008 Dodge grand Caravan is a lawsuit waiting to happen it somes with too many problems that I believe the creators if this vehicle knew about but put out for production any how for the love of money. Too many lives are put at risk. Im requesting a brand new car my vheicle has electrical issues that should not be common, ignition issues turn the key, car stalling, sliding door issues you would think a ghost is toiling with you its terrible, I demand some help my car wont start due to electrical concerns that I didnt cause I took good care of my vehicle but yet it still fails. This car stalled and stopped on the highway, wouldnt start on certain occasions its scary
I was about to add air to the front tire and was removing the cap when the valve blew apart about halfway down the stem. The tire went flat immediately. We had the dealer replace the tpm valve stem but they had to order it and it took a week to get the part. I asked them to change the other 3, but they said they will only replace one valve at a time as they fail. My wife was 9 months pregnant at the time and this is our only car, so I was concerned that it would happen again, possibly while driving since it had broken so easily. Sure enough, two weeks later a second valve stem failed and the tire went flat very fast. Luckily I was just on my way back to the hospital to bring her a few things and driving slowly on a residential street. Again, I'm told they will just order one valve and replace them as they fail. This is obviously a problem they know about but don't want to deal with. …
