Originally had taken car in for recall. The recall was for both doors. The dealer had delivered the car and told me I would be contacted for repair on the passenger door once the parts were in stock. After months of waiting I finally contacted them and was told that the parts were in stock. I made the appointment and when I was set to drop off the van I was told that I was going to be charged because it has been put in as complete in the dealers records but showed parts not installed. I was told to contact Dodge and left the van there overnight. The next day I spent a lot of time on the phone to get the runaround with Dodge. I picked up the car and didn't have the repair done. My family has used the van ever since. …

Incident we took our 2008 Dodge Caravan it in a month ago one of the problems we were having was the driver side rear sliding door wasn't closing properly so we had them adjust it. We took it in a month later to fix other problems and the door they adjusted on the drivers side just fell off in my driveway and I am again without an automobile. The van door works in two ways. One, you can push a button and close the door, or two, you can click the inside handle and slide the door over until the motor grabs it and closes it. The way the door is mounted in the rear track is very inadequate. There are two small horizontal load runners and one vertical load runner. The track is made from steel but when adjusted improperly can be stretched out of shape. …

2007 Dodge Caravan rear hatch problem. This problem first occurred in July of 2007 and is becoming worse. The rear hatch door seems to be effected by temperature. When it is hot the hatch will not open with the use of the electronic key fob or buttons located in the headliner above the driver. When it is cold the hatch will open appear to come to a stop in the open position and then on its own will close. It does not sense when a person or object is in the way and will continue to close. It will also close and reopen when you attempt to close the hatch electronically. All 3 of these conditions are when you are using the key fob or buttons located in the headliner above the driver. The car has been to the dealership 7 times and they have not been able to reproduce the problem or fix the problem. …
