Hit a few deer head on it took out both sides and complete front end and air bags didn't deploy and it was a pretty hard impact ill be surprised if they don't total the vehicle out we were on hwy 45 in bloomington indiana
My 2014 Dodge Avenger has a faulty TIPM. This has caused my car to lose all electrical power including engine stalling, lack of power steering, and no lights while driving down a busy highway at night. This happened several times. Once it happened while I was turning through a busy intersection! Now it has caused my wipers to stop working! This is and has been a safety hazard. Chrysler has known about this and has tried to ignore, deny, even cover it up since before 2008. Hundreds of thousands of owners have been dangerously affected by this. I don't know why this hasn't been front page news! As an uber and lyft driver I can't make a living now because of this. Chrysler has already been sued over this and need to be continued to be held accountable. They have given no effort to recall all of the affected vehicles yet, only a few models that were heavily mentioned in the lawsuit. …
Was driving on hwy when vehicle loss power, was able to quickly pull over. Turned vehicle off and restarted vehicle. Got back onto the hwy ,vehicle loss power again, this time it wouldn't turn over. Replaced fuel pump, replaced valve timing sensor, crank sensor, replaced battery, replaced ignition switch and antitheft oem {replaced 5X}, reprogrammed vehicle 3X's, bought new key to program to vehicle. After $1500.00 still not fixed, dealership has had the vehicle for well over a month. The dealership contacted the manufactured company, manufactured company said it was a faulty orc part. The manufacture company was suppose to send the dealership the new orc part and still hasn't done so, dealership says its on back order and there isn't no eta for the part to arrive.
I had just merged onto 69 heading home from school. It was around 930 pm. I start to pick up speed to blend in with traffic. There was a three car accident that occurred so we all slammed on our brakes to avoid from hitting it. Unfortunately I hit the back of a flatbed tow truck going between 45-50mph. To my surprise my air bags did not deploy. Even though I had a recall on my car a few months back for the airbags not working right, so I took it to my dealership to have my recall fixed. So when I got in this head on collision I was in shock my air bags still did not deploy.
My 2012 Dodge Avenger had recall for electrical system, airbags. I took it to the dealer and they performed recall "n38 reflash TIPM." before this recall was done my vehicle had no problems. As soon as I drove away from the dealer, my airbag light on dash was on, the left rear turning light and left brake light not working, right headlight not working, right front turning signal not working. I let the dealer know what was going on and they said I had "to bring it back in because it probably has electrical problem". This is more than just electrical problem, it is a safety problem. After having the lighting diagnosed and inspected, I am having to pay $1250 for TIPM to be replaced for a new one. I am very upset and in disbelief that I have to pay this for a defective or faulty TIPM module. I feel this defect of the TIPM module should be also a recall and covered by the manufacturer.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 Dodge Avenger. While driving various speeds, the brake, turn signals, headlamps, and parking lights failed to operate. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the totally integrated power module (TIPM) needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to ourisman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (12430 auto dr, clarksville, md 21029, [phone]) where it was diagnosed that the TIPM needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 58562756. No further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 115,000.
While I was driving the battery, check engine, tire pressure, and traction light all came on at the same time, then all of a sudden everything (radio, instruments panel, speed odemeter etc...)when off in the car and then the A/C started blowing. It kept doing this off and on the whole time driving. The brake lights stay on. So far I have changed the battery, alternator, and the brake switch sensor and it's still doing the same thing. The vehicle was in motion on the hwy. I also got and check engine scan done on the vehicle. The one I could fix I fixed all but the TIPM
