The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Avenger. The contact stated while attempting to make a left turn while driving approximately 5 MPH, the vehicle started rattling at the front-end of the vehicle. The contact had taken the vehicle to a certified mechanic who diagnosed that there was a malfunction with an unknown part. The vehicle was not repaired. While I was driving my car began to smoke, there was no warning lights on my dashboard & my temperature gage was in the middle, indicating my car was not overheated. I pulled over put the vehicle in park & it became completely engulfed in flames. My car is a total loss!
Right turn signal has gone dismantled. It works erratically. Previously Baxter changed it. It had warranty for 3 years or 36000 miles. 3 years has passed but it did not surpassed 36000 miles yet. New motherboard of this system unavailable in market.
I drive a 2010 Dodge Avenger and have a few problems with it... Window defrost and passenger heat /air. While either in motion or while driving, no heated air exits the passenger side of the windshield defroster, nor the passenger window defrost, lower and center console vents. Heated air only exits the driver's side windshield and driver's side dash vents. Problem persists through all cabin air modes, and circulations. This safety issue effects visibility and passenger safety by failing to defrost/defog windows and keeping cabin tempuratures near or below freezing during cold weather (blowing cold air into the cabin). My hazard light also do nit work... Hazard switch includes the heated seat button and the whole thang sees to be dead and not working at all. I've checked fuses and all connection everything is okay but still nothing out of the switches at all.
Etc light came on and car started acting like it was running out of gas. RPM gage jumps from 1K to 1.5K. Vehicle would not go over 20 MPH. Brought vehicle home reset the computer light stayed on but problem went away for a little over a week. I was on my way to work when the etc light started to flash again. Pulled over attepted to reset like the manual said to, no such luck, called in and took the car to dealership. Diagnosed as electronic throttle body needing to be replaced. As I have been reading through complaints on this vehicle I have seen over 10 complaints on this part but no recall on them. Chrysler needs to recall this part. No excuse for it to be happening to so many people. I understand parts get old and worn out but no way this many. Recall please.
My family was on our way out of town when the car suddenly turned off we were in the middle of the highway we had someone push us to the curb and we we cranked the car it started right up but ever since then it's been 5 years now it will cut off whenever! U never know when it's going to happen it just stops and u can pull over and crank it back it might crank right then and it might not we have had to wait as long as an hour needless to say this car is basically scrap I loved my car until this started my dads a mechanic and he saying it has to be electrical he's seen to many of them burnet up needless to say it's an emergency only car I just wish they would figure it out I'm not the only one that this is happening too
I need some answers to this major safety issue. I have been experiencing issues with my 2010 Dodge Avenger. These issues are while driving the vehicle on the roadway, highway vehicle just cuts of without any warning signs with cars going at least 45mph following. Vehicle has also not started on over 15 occasions. I have taken it to the dealership who intern has made repairs stating that the issue was fix, but when I get vehicle home after an enormous repair bill it won't start again. The dealer has told me that they don't know why vehicle is abruptly going dead while driving.this is a major safety issue. Last occurence was in October 2019. Vehicle is still a repair shop.
