The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 300C. The contact stated that the plastic handle on the oil dipstick fractured. Additionally, part of the dipstick was stuck in the tube. The contact was unable to check the oil level. The contact was concerned about a possible fire. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer but, the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no further assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 28,412.
On more than 20 occasions, while traveling at speeds in excess of 60 MPH, the vehicle abruptly 'shuts off'. Everything is completely off. Engine, powertrain, power steering and power brakes. Sometimes there's a warning light that flashes after the shut down that looks like a reddish orange sideways z lighting bolt. The check engine goes on sometimes and other times it does not. When it goes on it sometimes stays on and sometimes it disappears. I've had 2 Chrysler dealers and 1 independent mechanic run diagnostics and no one can pinpoint the problem. So far, I've replaced the throttle body, hanged the transmission fluid and pan, and had the fuel system cleaned. I'm being told that 'maybe' it's the fuel pump or the power train control module. The [redacted] has only occurred at highway speeds so far. Thankfully, I've been able to pull off on the shoulder every time. …
There is a recall on my car for alternators failing/over heating effecting circuitry, that can stop the car while in motion or end up in flames. This is extremely dangerous I was notified 3 months ago and still no remedy I want my car fixed. I am scared to drive my car.. My car trunk has opened while driving. Part of the same problem?
Car started miss firing one cold morning. Shakes at low RPM and throws a CEL. Barely over 100K miles and it ticking very loudly which makes me believe it is the rocker arms. Now instead of being covered the cost to repair I have to pay out of pocket on a car I am still financing. Simply ridiculous , never owning a Chrysler ever again.
The vehicle has a continental system in it that I cannot explain where it came from or how it ended up in the vehicle and it has caused my vehicle to drive horribly and it will not even start a times and it has even sped out of control at times it does not allow the air system meaning heat and air conditioning to work or the touch screen and it causes all kinds of weird noises in the vehicle also has a system called autoliv in it which is something Daimler which is not part of Christ anymore I found out at this time
The problem I have is with the engine coolant system and the vehicles electrical system the cooling system is not operating the way that is supposed to be in the electrical system keeps malfunctioning the check engine light keeps coming on and off the car is not idling the way that is supposed to be idling I've already replaced the humidity control module three timesAnd when I'm on the highway if I go to fast the front of the car start shaking
The vehicle was sold with an outdated battery and later experienced repeated breakdowns. During the first repair visit, the dealership replaced the battery and alternator but failed to identify the root cause of the problem. The vehicle was returned, but the next day it broke down again. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the wiring harness was severely burnt and melted, creating a significant safety hazard that could cause stalling, fire, or total electronic failure. The dealership later diagnosed a PCM failure, which was not detected during the first repair visit. The wiring damage and PCM issue were not disclosed to the vehicle owner by the dealership, and there was no explanation provided for the cause. The problem has been confirmed by the dealership during the second visit, and photographs of the wiring damage are available. …
The car shuts off while driving. This has happened to me at least 5 times in the past month so far usually in the middle of a turn. I have to put the car in park and turn the key in order to start it up again. It starts up and I'm on my way again. The issue is there is no warning like the car slowing down or vibrating or a dashboard warning light before it shuts down. I'm afraid the driver behind me will run in to me because of this. I've had a diagnostic test done today and the repair shop could not tell me what is wrong because they see no history of any codes coming up. They would need to see it happen. That would be hard to do.
