Screen turns black and green when on reverse or sometimes go black while driving, making certain controls like heated seats and heated steering wheel inoperable. The entire screen flashes with lines and flips between black and green. Issue happens intermittently, but more when putting the car on reverse instead of showing rear image it goes into a flashing green screen. Dealer tells me this is a common issue and usually they replace the entire unit which costs thousands of dollars. Issue has been happening for over 6 months and now car is 90 miles over the 36K bumper to bumper and had to open case with Chrysler to see if they can cover the repair/diagnostic

At 24K miles this vehicle stranded me in lansing michigan with the 3/36 bumper to bumper still in effect. My trip was interupted and was offered no place to stay or any transportation to my home. The vehicle would be in the shop for the weekend and two days into the next week. Down 5 days just to return it not fixed with only the software being reflashed. A total of 4 trips to the dealer where purchased with no steering, no shifting and other electrical problems. The radio was replaced, the power steering unit, a major wiring loom, and the loom to the ebrake system. Vehicle lost power steering only to regain it some 20 miles down the road causing the vehicle to swerve. Trans would not up shift. GPS was telling me I was somewhere I wasn't about 60 miles away. This car is a lemon in my opinion, and I no longer trust it or the service of any of the dealers to keep it on the road. …

The air conditioning stopped working with only 20,000km on the vehicle. My friend has a new Chrysler with 200km on it with the same problem. Chrysler is not willing to pay for it even though its a known issue. Very poor service and support from them

When adjusting the pedals while driving on the road, using the switch mounted on the drivers seat, the pedals went down toward the floor and the engine's RPM increased. I didn't notice what was happening at first and then the engines RPM increased and the vehicle speed jumped to 75 MPH. I tried baking and the car slowed down to 45 MPH. Since I was in a 35 MPH zone and was approaching a car ahead of me I put the car in neutral and the engine RPM increased very high. I can't say how high it went as I was busy trying to figure out what went wrong and what to do about it. I turned into a parking lot and shut the engine off. I started the car again and the engine RPM shot up over 6000. Knowing that the only thing I did was adjust the pedals I pushed the switch in the other direction and raised the pedals. The RPM went back to normal idle speed. …

Backup camera flickers and shows a mirror flip image of what exactly is there. It is no longer a reliable safety accessory. Many owners in different Chrysler car groups report complete failure and issues with their backup cameras. This is a constant problem.

My wife was coming home from work and she said the radio turned off on its own and wouldn't go back on. Then she said she began to smell a "burning smell" of like plastic or brakes. She then said that the car began to smoke from under the hood, luckily my wife works 5 miles away from home. I told her to immediately turn the car off to prevent anything else from happening. I could still smell the burning of what I later found out was the alternator. I went on the internet to check for recalls and was surprised to find out that there was but only on the v6 engine models but apparently with the same exact issues. I discovered in another website that there is many complaints on my same car model from other owners as well. Our car only has 49K miles and did not cost us cheap at 45,000. Chrysler out to be ashamed for not posting these serious electrical complaints. …

Car lost all power while driving. Stuck in the middle of an intersection.everything was locked up. Stranded for 2 hours waiting for aaa. I know there is a recall on the alternator. We took the car to oliver c joseph Chrysler in belleville, il. They say - they don't have the parts. They can order the partsbut we will have to pay for the repair and wait to get reimbursed by Chrysler. At least $850 in repairs. I can't pay $850! Why should I have to if this is a recall. The dealer confirms this was an alternator fire. I need Chrysler to fix my car.
