They told me they think the battery got to hot and caused the fire. The vehicle will be with progress insurance garage. For inspection. If me or my kids were in the vehicle we would of been either burnt beyond repair or dead. No warning lights at all. No noises nothing it ran perfect. My insurance progressive is taking my vehicle today or tomarrow for inspection.
I bought a 07 Chrysler 300 at 126k. I had just got an oil change like a month before and radiator clean. One day I'm driving and then I parked and then I crank it up and it just starts making noise out of no where. So I cut it off and on and it's making clacking noise. I didn't have no lights on when I bought the car 3 months ago and it still doesn't have a light on. It just locked up on me out of no where. I didn't even get a chance to enjoy my car. I only had it 3 months and my motor Locked up on me with no warning no lights. I been reading and I see they been saying something about the oil pump going out in Chrysler motors. Now I hear they don't even make my size motor no more. U have to buy a remanufactured or rebuild one. …
Engine constantly leaking coolant from multiple areas on the engine. Have had to constantly get it repaired at least once a month. Also have had constant cylinder misfires, fuel injector system keeps going bad
The car has only 92000 miles and maintained good. Since it was only 70000 miles the a.c stopped blowing cold air. It was diagnosed that inside the dashboard the evaporator is not working properly causing freon leak. And outrage repair of 2000 dollars will be the cost. This is a problem with many Chrysler's 300 2005-2010. Since that is a main issue why there is no recall on this part? It seems like that company knows about this issue from over a 10000 customers and doesn't do anything about it. On their products Chrysler guaranty that issue like this would not appear until vehicle reach at least 100000 miles. Living in state of florida this is safety issue when temperatures reach 120 f in the vehicle. Other issues include are fuel injectors and EGR sensor causing the car to stop in middle of driving without no warning and it can cause serious accidents. …

Driving 60 miles per hour on a houston, texas crowded and busy freeway. My Chrysler 300 caught on fire immediately followed by thick black smoke and a strong smell of burning of burning plastic. The car caused cars to come to a complete stop on a 5 lane freeway because of the thick smoke. My steering wheel locked so loss of steering, brakes became mushy. Right before the loud boom fire and smoke. The check engine displayed and then the other lights in the instrument panel and sound of a pop then boom of smoke all within approx 5 seconds. It happened really fast. I have no special equipment. No rewiring of stereo equipment or any other kind of rewiring. All factory parts.

I purchased a 2007 Chrysler 300 at the end of 2012 with 24K miles on it. Since purchasing it the car has continued to stall - while in motion at speeds of 55 MPH and while under 10 MPH. I have invested a considerable amount of money over a two year period trying to remedy the problem including the replacement of the purge valve in December 2014. The car stalled again today while driving 50 MPH, and was difficult to restart.
