Reverse gear went out after vehicle slipped once, acted as if in neutral when in reverse and pressing gas pedal down but would not move. Had local towing and mechanic shop in Gower Missouri check transmission fluid level in which was found to be a quart low on transmission fluid. Car had been extremely well maintained and all recommended maintenance services completed by previous owners. Able to drive car in all other gears, codes p0007 code appear with no check engine light or any type of warning or indication that a problem was present within my 2005 Chrysler 300 3.5l v6 rwd car with the 42rle transmission My vehicle also has issues occur suddenly regarding front end suspension has death shake and very loud clinking popping banging noises while driving at all speeds. Steering wheel has a weird squeek/creeking noise when turning the wheel at times and feels like steering is loose. …
Dt*: the contact stated while driving at 50 MPH the accelerator pedal became stuck in the depressed position which resulted in an accident with another vehicle. There was severe damage to the chassis of both vehicles. However, the air bags of the contact's vehicle did not deploy. It was taken to a service dealer but the mechanic was unable to duplicate the problem with the accelerator pedal. Also, the vehicle continuously pulled to the right and required excessive force to keep the vehicle moving straight. The vehicle was taken to service dealer where the tires were rotated. Shortly after the tire rotation, the tread became completely worn. The mechanic determined the suspension was the cause of the problem.
Major vibration in right front wheel, turns out I was almost killed, thankfully I pulled over the rack/pinion assembly broke! That was an over the weekend project for dealership. Luckily covered under warranty! Now I have a binding noise in steering column, at the hook joint inside the boot covering joint, dealer greased, but noise is back, feels like column is going to snap! They won't look at without a charge! Also have rattle in dash, knocking in brakes! I'm really sorry I purchased the vehicle, now I know why I got such a great deal! They just wanted to unload!!!!!concerned for my life!!!while driving my 300!!!!!!!!!!!!seriously,I do want to see my children's weddings!!!!!
I was driving on a city street, going 25 MPH when I heard a knocking sound, I thought it was something I had hit but, it wasn't. I kept driving for about 5 blocks when it occurred again. I pulled into a service station and the mechanic told me that it sounded like it was my tie rods. I contacted a mechanic and he told me that its was the tie rods. I have never had a problem in all the years I have had my car, but this is a first. Not sure if this is under a recall or if anyone else is experiencing this, but it can be frightening.
While driving my 2005 Chrysler 300 with the Hemi motor thru my subdivision at 25mi per hour the rack-n-pinion broke and the stabilizer bar broke, causing a badly bent rim, that caused the bolts under the car to become sheared off, causing a accident. Just and fyi I purchased the car 12/04 and the parts broke off on 3/19/2005
I have a 2005 Chrysler 300 touring edition, the driver's side tension strut failed causing my anti-lock brakes to fail. Due to the failure I had to swerve off of the road into a small ditch damaging my undercarriage and fender wells.
I have a 2005 300c that I bought in April 2007, it only had 14425, miles, when I tested drove it, I notice that it was pulling to the right, I thought it was a low tire, and I was in love with the car from the time I saw it. As weeks went by and after placing air in all tires, the car continued to pull to the right. So I called the dealership and stated my problem, they asked me to come in. I told them the problem that I was having and they recommend a wheel alignment that I paid for. I drove it home and noticed that it was doing the same thing, pulling to the right, I called them and made another appointment, this time the said it was the tires, so I replaced the tires and put the Goodyear assurance on it, and again paid for that. I took off again for home, and noticed the same problem. I turned the car around and went back to the dealer, and told them it was not fixed. …
Purchased the Chrysler 300 jan 2005 and within a few months vehicle started pulling to the right. We took the car in 3 times within the first 6 months of having it and they tried to fix, said they had and was not. On the final attempt, they told us to take it to an alignment shop on our own to fix, "we tried." now, after 3 years driving with the same problem. We have a new problem, the speedometer gauge broke. We were told sorry, its out of warranty and we have to pay 1000.00 to fix. Another dealer, said they would charge 800. Ii was told that our cluster would be sent out and replaced with a refurbished one. So we did not have it fixed, we decided to purchase one on our own (from a junk yard or refurbished) and now the mileage needs to be reset. But were told that they could just reset the mileage for 100 dollars. Took the car in now being told that we can not do that. …
I noticed that when I drive my car it pulls to the right. I took it to the dealer to have it fixed and the serviceman said that the problem was fixed it just needed an alignment. I left the dealership and drove down the hwy and it began to pull to the right again. I went back to the repair shop and they said to me that the alignment machine said that it was aligned just perfect. So I took the repairman on a test drive and again it pull to the right. So back to the repair shop we went and they replace a bolt or something to that effect(TSB) and it still pulls to the right. I notice a lot of the 05 models have that problem, but it seems as though Chrysler has fixed the problem on the 06 and newer models. When you hit divot in the rd. The front end shakes and basically the front tires actually leave the rd. For a brief second. …
Purchased used 300 touring Chrysler on April 2005 with about 25000 miles already we notice ever since we purchased our vehicle it has made a loud bang noise everytime we go on reverse and it seems it lags before getting in gear and lately it was starting to make that bang noise going forward mostly when accelerating fast, we were thinking of taking it in but have been putting it off due to our work schedules, well this 23rd of December 2005 while going to a friends b-day party the whole back axle broke off we were in a red light as it turn green I accelerated and we felt the car drop completely on the rear at first I thought I blew out the tires or something but as we pulled to the side we notice the tires were way inside the fenders. …
