I have a 2015 Chevy Tahoe LTZ I bought used 10/12/2024 with 100,000 miles on it. I purchased it from a family member that took great care of it. Always garaged and kept up with all the maintenance's regularly. In March of 2025, we noticed how uncomfortable and terribly bumpy it was riding. I looked it up and discovered that many people with this "Magnetic Ride Control" installed on many other vehicles had to replace them. I thought for sure this would have a recall. And to my disappointment, it was not a recall. I had to pay over $3000 dollars to repair this, which I don't have. Can you please look into this and make the manufacture or someone accountable for such a terrible design. Thank you bumpy it was riding. The 2015 Tahoe LZ is experiencing harsh ride due to the failure of the factory Air Ride system. This may have been a good idea, but it will not stand up under normal road conditions. There is no recall for this problem. Shocks leak or are bound up (frozen in place) causing bumps to be transmitted to the vehicle body. I have changed tires and the problem is still there. I have driven GM vehicles all my life (70+years) and this is the most trouble I have ever experienced with suspension components of all the GM vehicles I've owned, starting with a 1955 vehicle. A local dealer priced the repair at around $5000.00. I drove a 1983 Suburban for over 300,000 miles and never had any suspension problems, (except for normal brake wear). There seems to be a lot of owners of this vintage vehicle that have experienced this problem. …

Front shocks failed 2 years ago. Rear shocks just failed last week. Both of these failures affect the vehicle handling. The vehicle was inspected and failures confirmed by an independent service center. Both front and rear shocks had to be replaced. The complexity of the parts and system make these repairs costly. It cost thousands of dollars for each repair. It is a $70K vehicle and was manufactured in 2015. These should not be failing so quickly. And the repair shop said this is a know issue with the Tahoe of those model years but there is not an active recall. Someone needs to investigate how many of these Tahoes have had to have the shocks replaced.

2015 Tahoe with a very stiff ride. ASE certified mechanic who uses OEM parts says front struts and rear shocks are frozen and have to be replaced. Cost is $3600 and he says all parts are on backorder as this is a common failure. The ride is so firm that the car leaves the ground when riding over bumpy roads.

My magna ride suspension has completely gone out. The front and rear are sagging with no suspension travel at all. According to Google, every Chevrolet and GMC with this suspension has the same issue. Cost $3000 to repair.

Strut leaking (front driver/ passage side) and shocks malfunctioned (rear). Driving on a fairly smooth highway, doing approximately 70 MPH when I noticed that my SUV was bouncing and experiencing a rough ride. Pulled over at the next gas station and noticed the rear of the vehicle was a little higher than normal. Immediately took the SUV to the closest repair shop (Firestone). The mechanic diagnosed the problem as both struts were leaking and the shocks appeared to be extended. This vehicle has never been off road or towed anything (except a bike rack). Took the vehicle to a Chevy dealership (this was Saturday). The dealership comfirmed both front struts were leaking and estimated that it would be approximately $1700.00 plus a front end alignment (diagnostic costed $138.00). …

2015 Chevy Tahoe ltz: condenser and compressor went out stopping any cool or cold air flow in middle of a June. Must order parts directly from GMC. Parts estimate $3,500+ labor estimate $780. What's wrong with this picture? It's a leased vehicle. Chevrolet won't cover. Same 2015 Chevy Tahoe- at 111K, 4,5,and 6 gear failed. Transmission failed going up hill with my 2 year old in the vehicle! Chevy only covered a portion leaving me a $2K bill in April 2017. June 2016- I had taken my Tahoe (leased) only to one dealership when needing any maintenance. My records show I started complaining about sunroof bellows at 20K miles and the appliqus on both driver and passenger side doors. June @68K miles I had to replace sunroof, dvd player, bellows, and internal wiring. Also, drivers side strut. I spent over 2K on my Tahoe, only to notice the dvd player is not working.... Again.

At around 59,000 miles the rear suspension was very bouncy and a hard ride. Took to the dealership and they advised the rear shocks had extended out and stuck. Stated this is an ongoing issue with this year model of vehicle 2015 Tahoe ltz. The left front strut was also leaking. Was advised this system is controlled electronically to adjust the ride and have all four strut/shocks work in conjunction with each other to level out for a smooth ride. Well $1900.00 dollars for the rear installed and about $1000.0 for the front. So $3000.00 dollars later no covered under warranty on a vehicle with less then 60K miles is not good. Hell my first set of factory tires out lasted the mechanical shocks/struts. It appears Chevy has a issue they are not willing to fix or do a recall notice on. This could be a safety issue in vehicle handling in curves and hills?

Car was vibrating when getting above 45 miles per hour. Thought wheels needed to be balanced. Once balanced, pulled trailer and vibration was extremely worse. Vibrating like we had the back window rolled down, but all windows were up. Went back to dealer in newnan georgia and they hooked up a trailer to another vehicle and it had the same problem. We were told they could not do anything about it. We then bought new tires thinking it would help the issue. We have since bought two sets of tires, constantly having the vehicle tires rotated and balanced trying to minimize the vibration. We are currently up to 53K on the vehicle and very disappointed in the vehicle with the luxury price we paid. This all happened upon purchase.

I have taken my 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe in several times for a vibration issue. First time it was mentioned on an invoice was August of 2016 but had been going on for months before. My vehicle vibrates at about any speed. The first time to the dealer they said they didn't think there was a problem. The second time they said that it is the suspension but there is nothing they can do about it. The vibration has made parts of the vehicle to rattle. The third time to the dealer they had to fix a light issue and a rattle between the passenger from door and back door. The vibration happens every where at every speed. Scariest on the highway though. Feels like the vehicle is going to "crack" in half. Scary.
