Front wheels simply just peel apart in chips. Rear wheels appear to be fine, so this is an issue with turning or friction on the front wheels. The tires chip away through out the entire surface of the thread, leaving voids and gashes on the surface. We drive on paved roads, so there really shouldn't be an issue with excessive wear such as driving on rough roads. I did show this to our local dealer, they claim the vehicle needs an alignment, but keep in mind the vehicle has under 15K miles from the dealer. Already, we can see these tires not even coming close to the warranty thread wear limit. Per dealer, no recalls on our VIN.
On October 24, 2015 while following my wife home on hwy 182 between west pasco and richland my truck experience what felt like a tire blowout on the right rear wheel. I was traveling the speed limit at 70 MPH. The road was level and flat with no debris on the road. I proceeded to change out my tire with the spare, thinking that the tire had a large bolt or nail in it. To my surprise, the tire was intact with no sign of damage. The factory rim had failed. Here are the facts of the situation: '2015 Chevrolet Silverado lt z71 with 12,366 miles 'smooth highway surface on a clear day traveling straight at 70 MPH with no debris on the road 'not hauling or towing 'single occupant in vehicle 'the tire is intact (not damaged at all) 'no damage to the right front wheel or tire or any other part of the vehicle 'severe damage to the right rear rim 'rim impacted the brake system hard enough to bend …

Recently purchased Silverado 3500hd truck, I had no idea it did not have tire pressure monitoring system until I got home and was going through the vehicle driver information center. I thought all consumer vehicles has this safety feature. As it turns out everyone at the dealership was also surprised. Chevrolet has this listed as an option for a 3500hd, however they say it is not a supported configuration. I think the NHTSA needs to revise their TPMS to all vehicles sold not just those below 10,000lbs. Tire pressure monitoring is a big safety issue for all vehicles, and can help avoid many mistakes. I appreciated it in my previous vehicle, I was alerted to a nail in leak and found a nail, I could have easily driven on the tire and had it fail while driving. …
I want to file a safety complaint I have a vibration problem with this truck and believe the is a problem with the Goodyear tires the dealer has changed 11 tires and one rim on my truck the when driving at highway speeds there is a strong vibration and the longer you drive the worse it gets I think because the tires are heating and making the tire weak there is only one tire available in the size that GM posted on door sticker Goodyear wrangler sr-a lt265/60r20e I purchased this truck new GM says vibration is normal the vibration gets to the point where it feels like the wheel want to come off there is a lot of people with the same issues on line GM trucks .com.
