What owners report

Engine hesitation, or misfiring. Jerking, or transmission shuttering when engine is at low RPM and on incline. (I.e. When traveling about 45mph and start up a hill, the RPM's are about 1300, and the transmission doesn't gear down, so it starts shuttering until you give it more acceleration than usual.) after dealing with this issue for nearly 8 months and 15K miles, I believe this safety issue should be recalled. Dealer originally acknowledge the problem but was unsure of the cause. After 5 repair attempts the dealer say they can't duplicate and the vehicle performs as designed.

My 2017 siverado with less than 50,000 miles is at the dealership, due to a defective fuel injector on the #7 cylinder. I am being told it is not under warranty, and that I will have to bare the cost of the repair. I do not feel that on a two year old vehicle, that the fuel injector should fail, nor should I bare the cost of replacement. I am not asking for a resolution, I just want other to be aware of the defect.

Gas mileage complaint . Stated mileage (hwy ) is 22 mpg , the first six monthes of driving did achieve this stated mileage ,occasionally as much as 23 mpg .after 2 recall service visits and an oil change , the mileage abruptly dropped to 18 mpg I complained to chev. Service in cottage grove ,or several times over the course of 4 monthes they advised me to change fuel (service stations ,) put a fuel booster additive in the tank ,check tire pressure .they also stated that the fuel mnfrs. Changing the fuel blend for the winter season May be the cause. No service codes in the computer . None of the suggested "fixes" have changed the mileage ,still at around 18 mpg . Something caused this sudden drop in mpg .I have a couple of ideas , 1. One recall was a computer software upgrade ,wrong shift parameters installed ? 2. …

The vehicle almost shuts off but recovers just before shutting off and the start of losing power the vehicle jumps and stops. Called dealer service department and was told there are no recalls for my vehicle. This problem started almost frome week one after purchase until this date of reporting.

Driving at approx 35-40 MPH approaching a hairpin turn tried to break and vehicle did not slow down slid through the corner into a rock, put the vehicle is reverse and pressed accelerator the vehicle RPM increased on own tried to break the RPM did not diminish(foot off accelerator) before I had time to shut the truck off I hit a tree behind me. It appears something stuck in accelerator (mechanical) or the computer system( electronics) failed. The vehicle has not yet been tested.

On acceleration from a stop, the RPM's race while shifting. Vehicle acts as if the transmission is slipping from 1-2. Early in the life of the vehicle I thought this was only something that happened the first time shifting after pulling out of the garage however, as the truck gets more miles on it, the problem happens more often and when taking off from stops when hot. Vehicle was brought to dealer to diagnose complaint and was told there was a bulletin to address this problem but since the tech couldn't verify it, they didn't do anything. Dealer said I have a good powertrain warranty so if something breaks later I should be covered. Not only is this unprofessional and poor customer service, they literally did nothing to attempt to diagnose or confirm the problem. There seems to be numerous complaints on this site related to RPM racing complaints.
