What 1995 Chevrolet K1500 owners say

Windows, wipers & sunroof all 53 →

There was a recall on the 1995 Chevy blazer and certain 1994-1996 c-k trucks, tahoes and suburbans for a windshield wiper problem,I had a 1995 blazer, and I also have a 1995 truck. I took the blazer in for repair which they fixed. Now my truck is doing the very same thing, which is, sometimes when I turn on the wipers, they work intermittently or not at all. This is a serious problem when I'm going 65 MPH in the rain. I called Chevrolet customer assistance only to find out my truck is not on the recall list, but I assure you it should be, because it is unsafe.

Windshield wiper/washer › Motor · Jul 2000

When driving the wipers will quit working. The cause of failure is the wiper control module. This happened to me. A mechanic told me there was a recall on this component, when I checked with the local dealer they stated that my vehicle was not part of the recall. I had to purchase module to repair myself. Driving was impared at failure because it was raining and it was possible to restart wipers by getting out of the vehicle and moving the wipers. But the next failure of wipers might happen only a couple of miles down the road.

Seats all 26 →

Drivers bucket seat frame broke while slowing to stop for traffic signal, seat dropped forward causing more pressure to be applied to brakes and vehicle came to sudden stop; truck has a problem with power seat adjuster that has excessive movement and popping under acceleration and during braking conditions, and going around sharp turns.

Oct 1998

While braking the driver's side bucket seat broke at the left front mounting bolt/frame bracket under the seat. This caused the seat to have free movement in a rocking type motion while traveling/braking, and accelerating. Seats' free movement feels unsafe, as if just a matter of time until the entire base mount gives way.

Brakes

While driving about 10 MPH shifted into first gear going down an hill, and the vehicle picked up speed. Consumer lost control. Applied brakes, which were hard, and the vehicle kept going down the hill at a full rate of speed and ran into a telephone pole. Also, consumer has had ongoing problem with the brakes, they faile d twice. Upon impacr, the driver's side air bag did'nt deploy.
