What owners report
The reverse camera works intermittently, but fails more often than it works properly. Able to reset by shutting car off and leaving door open for 90 seconds, then restarting. Works for that ignition/drive cycle but then becomes unreliable again after next startup. Car is a week old. Have not brought to dealer yet for warranty claim, however as this is a required safety system I am reporting it.
My windshield is defective. It is flaking and pieces are coming off of it. It's a safety issue to me. It's distracting my vision and it's right in the vision where I look out the windshield. It's not rock chips. It's flaking. I'm getting pieces of glass in my wash rag so therefore I feel it's a safety issue.
We have a water leak that was coming in both windows and onto the floor. Since reported it the car will slow down while driving because of codes issues about the doors are not closed and it is. I feel it's due to the water leak that is coming into the car. Took the car to a Chevrolet Dealer in Columbia South Carolina and they said it was coming from the roof weather stripping. They said it wasn't a recall for the 2020 C8 Corvette corvette yet. Also called GM Customer care to see if I can get some help to get it fixed. No luck.
While driving at a prudent speed the hood of my vehicle opened with some damage to the hood(sprung hinges) and body damage. I got a signal that the hood was open and then the hood sprung open. I was driving at 35-40 MPH at the time and came to a stop in a prudent manner.(no visibility)
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that he noticed a crack at the top of the front driver's side windshield. The contact then stated that over time the crack expanded with several other cracks being formed on the passenger's side of the windshield. The manufacture was notified of the issue and informed the contact that the vehicle was out of warranty. The manufacturer suggested that the vehicle be taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be duplicated. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving, he heard a crackling sound on the passenger's side of the windshield while driving over bumps in the roadway. The manufacturer was notified a second time of the failure and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000.
I have a 2015 z51 corvette and my windshield has a crack in it.I called Chevrolet and they said never heard that before.I have seen at least a hundred different people talking about the same incident.I feel GM should be having a recall for safety reasons.It is not a stone chip it is a crack from the top on the inside. The rear window in the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette has a design flaw and causes distortion to the point it makes one dizzy when looking through the rear view mirror. The window has been replaced twice by the dealership, however they state they will no longer do anything any more about it. This distortion is found in all of the corvettes at the dealership, the regional manager looked at them and has said they will not do anything more, as it appears it is the problem lies in the design. No where in the owner's manual, advertisements, or such does it list this vehicle has a distorted rear window due to it being curved. When driving this vehicle and looking in the rear view mirror, one can not identify vehicles or how close they are to my car and I have almost had several accidents with this car due to the problem. …
