What owners report
The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the contact drove over a pothole and damaged the front passenger's side tire. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the part to repair the vehicle needed to be repaired by the dealer. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where he was notified that the drive shaft was defective; however, when he arrived at the dealer, he was informed by the dealer supervisor that the center support barrier was defective. The contact disputed the claim and the dealer refused to service the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and an investigation was performed. The contact was then informed by the manufacturer that the vehicle would not be repaired and the contact was instructed to retrieve the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. …
Tl* the contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a loss of power and a lack of acceleration while driving 40 MPH. In addition, the reduced performance warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to nalley Chevrolet (4200 jonesboro rd, union city, ga) where it was diagnosed that the clutch failed and recommended it be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the stabilitrak warning indicator illuminated afterwards. The vehicle was returned to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the suspension failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
I was driving at about 20 MPH around a traffic circle in a residential area, when, after turning right, then left, then right around the traffic circle, the back end slid out and the right rear wheel slammed sideways against a curb. The wheel was instantly cracked, the wheel and spindle bent. "service stabilitrack" instantly came on the driver information center, and all three stability indicator lights came on. The p-zero nero tires on this car are not suitable for wet roads in the city. The ambient temperature was about 50 degrees. The Camaro and these tires make it unsafe, and the car should come equipped default with all-season tires, not racing z-rated summer only tires. Repair cost is $1,500 and this is not covered under warranty. I am very unhappy with the performance of this "performance" car.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro. While driving approximately 25 MPH, a loud noise was heard emerging from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. Once the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed a blue colored fluid covering the rear differential. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (ghent Chevrolet, 2715 35th avenue, greeley, colorado 80634) where it was diagnosed that the rear differential failed and needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also stated that the vehicle was repaired in February of 2018 at dellenbach motors (3111 s college avenue, fort collins, co 80525) regarding the rear cv shocks that go into the rear differential. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 76,000. Updated 11/30/18
I purchased this vehicle July of this year and just drove it to find it pulled extremely to the right. I was told it was an alignment issue which they attempted to fix which seems successful in July coming off the offramp after first time on the highway and applying the brakes, the car shook side side, and then up and down. It felt like the car was coming apart. I again notified the dealer. I purchased it from and was reminded it was bought as his, but that they would do what they can to fix it so that I would feel safe driving it. Also upon purchase when it got dark, I could not see even the beam of the headlights that they promised to replace and have not as yet.
I have been having a lot of problems with my steering on this vehicle. I was driving my car and was in a turn when the steering wheel kicked back the opposite direction I was turning and I nearly went off the road. The force was so great that it actually injured my shoulder when the steering wheel kicked back. The steering in the car has since been so sloppy that I am scared to drive it, the car is all over the road. I took the car to the dealer and was told the vehicle needed to be aligned. I took the vehicle to my local tire store and they checked the alignment which was all in factory specs. Took the vehicle back to the dealer test drove with a technician who drove with me and he stated it was definitely not an alignment problem. I left the vehicle at the dealer for 3 days and got a call that it was ready to be picked up. …
Vehicle Shipped in Unsafe Driving Condition I purchased this vehicle from Cars2us with a clear understanding that the vehicle was in good working order. I paid $500 for shipping along with $3,000 cash down. I purchased it from out of state so I had to have the vehicle shipped to my work site. When I received the vehicle off the trailer, it was borderline underivable due to the rack and pinion and power steering system being faulty. I immediately contacted the dealer and he agreed to have it repaired and advised me to "take it to a mechanic you trust"! I did so and the mechanic called me to inform me that the manager of the dealership tried to convince him to put junkyard parts on the vehicle to fix it. The mechanic was infuriated and insulted by this and advised me to contact an attorney. …
