The air bag warning randomly popped up on my screen. They will not deploy if I get into a wreck. Non working air bag. I also have issues that come and go with the electrical component. Sometimes my door won't open, sometimes my seats won't move, and my license plate light is out due to something electrical. My gas tank spits gas back at me and makes weird noises sometimes.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Volvo S80. While the vehicle was being serviced, the independent mechanic noticed a fuel odor due to a leaking fuel line. The vehicle was repaired. The fuel lines were replaced and the failure was remedied. The local dealer was not notified. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 119,000.
I bought this car from elderly people. After I bought it and drove, there's lots of thing not according to safety standard? I asked them (seller) but they don't have any answer, due to their age. So, since last Tuesday, I am driving as it is. Hardly I put 250 miles so far. There's belt sign, Air bag sign, and Low tire air sign. All signs are showing in my dashboard and stays as long as car is on. So, I am scared to death to drive this car, car itself in a mint condition and it's got only 131K miles. Still there's is more life left on this car. I am also senior citizen and retired person. So, I need help to get these fixed asap please.
While pulling into a parking space from the driving lane of a parking lot, my Volvo had a surge of power that could not be controlled/stopped by applying the brakes. I was barely in motion with my foot on the brake when we (my mother, sister, and I) heard the engine roar and the car surged forward. I applied more pressure to the brake but the car would not stop and went over a wheel stop so I then started pumping the brake. The car finally stopped moving once it hit a pipe bollard but the engine would not turn off, my electrical went haywire and I could not get the car in park to remove the key. Upon impact the passenger seat belt did not hold my mother in place and the air bags didn't deploy. I am the original owner of this car which was in pristine condition but now wrecked. …
Fuel smell in and around car. Previous recall on cracked fuel pump causing odor was completed by Powell Volvo in 2010. The same defect may have happened recently as the odor was noticed in December 2021 and is now stronger. Volvo may have extended the warranty.
Tl* the contact owns a 2005 Volvo S80. While driving 70 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle began to decelerate. The contact stated that the check engine, ABS, and brake failure, stop safely warning indicators illuminated. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 09V483000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was taken to multiple independent mechanics for diagnostic testing and the fuel system faulty code was found. The vehicle was taken to autobahn Volvo fort worth (located at 2910 white settlement rd, fort worth, tx 76107, [phone]), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 140,000.
Shortly after moving to north carolina, I began to smell fuel. I first thought that it was the gas cap and replaced it. The smell continued to grow stronger and stronger, to the point I could not keep it parked in my garage in my townhome due to the smell of gas which would permeate the entire house. I also noticed during this time a substantial loss in gas mileage. I took the car in to have it looked at. The auto shop found that the fuel pump was leaking and showed me the back of the fuel tank which was covered in gas. Due to the extreme risk, the auto shop stated that the pump needed to be replaced immediately, especially since I was about to take a 300-mile trip. The shop did find the recall: 09V483000 and called the local Volvo dealer. The dealer stated that my car was not covered by the recall. I requested that the fuel pump be given to me so that I could review the recall. …
Back in 2010 under the recall adv ,I took my car in to my Volvo dealer for the recall for fuel smell and they told me it was OK . The car then had around 90.000 miles or so, now I take my car back with strong fuel smell in 2015 170.000 miles and I reported to Volvo head quarters and they tell they will cover the pump only and not the labor to tune of 550.00 because the car has over 150000 miles on it and is past the recall extended warrinty , but I thought under recall p29075 that Volvo is lia for free replacement of parts and labor the first time I took it in. Volvo told me it is about 4 hrs labor when there own recall calls for .09 hrs labor. So it hasn't been fixed yet. I will fix it my self to the tune of a pump (bocsh pump 155.00 )and my own labor.thanks for nothing Volvo I guess if I would of burnt up in this car Volvo wouldn't be lia ? My att sure thinks they would of been. …
