The contact owns a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that the TPMS warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the sensor was reset; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
I purchased a set of 4 Kumho tires on my vehicle on 9-24-24 when the vehicle had approximately 62,710 miles. On [redacted] with approximately 78,922 miles on the vehicle, I was informed that all the tires were cracked, they showed me in between the tread and they said they needed replacement. The tires had significantly less mileage than the advertised treadwear warranty. I maintained the vehicle according to manufacturer recommendations and had regular tire rotations and inspections performed. I am concerned that the tires experienced premature wear, which could affect vehicle safety and require replacement much sooner than expected. I contacted the tire manufacturer regarding the warranty, but my concerns have not been satisfactorily resolved-to date I have not heard from them, I emailed them on. 6-1-26 as well as the Volkswagen dealership in North Attleboro were the work was done. …
The contact owns a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated while operating the vehicle, it was discovered that the horn was inoperable and there was no longer an audible sound while activated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. After retrieving the vehicle, the failure continued intermittently. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. Additionally, the TPMS warning light would remain illuminated even though the tire air pressure levels were at the correct air pressure. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.
We own a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta. While driving at 55 MPH, he heard a loud Bang noise and experienced difficulty steering the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. We pull over to inspect the vehicle, We did not see any problems with the tires and they looked ok. But there was smoke coming up from the front passenger side. We were able to drive the vehicle another mile before more smoke was coming from under the passenger side. When we pulled over again we realized the right front tire on the passenger side was shredded. We called AAA. replaced the tire with the spare and went home. We called the VW dealer and took the car in. They said it was a front suspension coil spring that broke and punctured the right front tire.
After owning the tires for 35000 miles the tires started to split on all four. Shaking was notice about a week before 5/22/21 when i got up to 65 miles an hour on the interstate. Tread life was good on the tires and the tire shop helped me get new ones. I had no warning and I rotated my tires every 4000 miles or so.
UNKNOWN; once the car started, it would not accelerate, the EPC and Engine warning lights came on; car still starts up The Tire Pressure sensor light has been going off/on, regardless of the tire pressure being correctly set

Bought a 2015 Jetta se in September of 2015. Vehicle was only serviced by a licensed dealership in maryland, and had just had it's 20,000 service. Told the tires were fine, and dealer rotated them. While driving in a parking lot at 5-10 MPH, the two passenger tires blew out from the sidewall with a loud popping sound. No obstacles, or nails/glass etc. In the road, and nothing was ran over. Tires only had 20,500 miles on them, and were rated 8/32 by the dealer two weeks ago at the service appointment. Upon researching, there are numerous complaints about these tires, made by continental, blowing out on the sidewall. It has happened on highways and caused crashes and injuries, and they should be recalled before more folks get hurt. We were lucky that it happened in a parking lot at a very low speed, and I have replaced all 4 with safe tires for my daughter. …
