VinFast Auto, LLC (VinFast) is recalling certain 2023-2025 VF8 vehicles. The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) may activate during wide turns, causing unexpected steering wheel movements that are difficult for the driver to override.
Remedy: VinFast will update the ADAS software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 27, 2025. Owners may contact VinFast customer service at 1-833-503-0600.
Air bags
VinFast Auto, LLC (VinFast) is recalling certain 2023-2025 VF8 vehicles. The center air bag mounted in the driver's seat may deploy improperly during a side impact crash and strike the driver's arm.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the center air bag, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 23, 2025. Owners may contact VinFast customer service at 1-833-503-0600.

Car suddenly went into limp mode and airbag failure warning, collision warning, and seatbelt warnings went off. Car slowed to 1 mph on a busy highway almost instantly. We could have been hit from behind and had to struggle to get the car to the shoulder from the center lane. Warnings appeared seconds before the limp mode activation. We had the car towed to Vinfast Orlando, and after a 10 day repair they had the airbag replaced, and the seatbelt sensor replaced. After picking the car up and taking it home, on the next trip all the sensors went off again and the car is saying to have the car returned for service. We are afraid to drive the car due to the sudden stopping and the fact that it must be returned again for the same issue.
