VIN [redacted]. Electrically operated sliding door opens and cannot be closed. Dealer and importer do not think they are responsible for this safety defect (out of warranty). My daughter's Sienna, VIN [redacted], which is a year younger has the identical problem, so does one of her friend's Sienna. I don't have that vehicle's VIN but I could get it. Toyota claims : no safety issue, defects are coincidental. Right!!! Their investigators should take probability 101 at their local community college. To top it all, the repair costs $750. What an insult! Before I forget; my Sienna had two wheel mounting studs shear off. I torque the nuts myself with a torque wrench set at 85 lb/ft. I suppose this is not a safety defect either since there are five studs holding the wheel. Since the importer is not concerned, perhaps they will be when you add this information to your database.

After getting a flat tire, I bought two tires at ntb, waltham, ma to replace the flat and the old spare tire. The new tires (uni tiger paw) were put on the front of the car. The other 3 tires were rotated to the back and to the spare. I was also charged for a wheel alignment. Within 100 miles, as I was driving on the highway at 65 MPH, the front right wheel began making a loud thumping noise so I pulled off the highway and called aaa. The tire was fine, but it was on the verge of falling off. Aaa tightened it and checked all the other tires, which were fine, and I was on my way again. Apparently the lug nuts on the front right tire had not been tightened. This was a dangerous event due to human error. I am concerned about how frequently such mishaps occur and wanted to report it. I will also contact ntb to let them know of this serious and dangerous event.

Tl contact owns a 2000 Toyota Sienna. The vehicle had Goodyear assurance comforted tires, tire size 215/55r17. The tires were replacement tires purchased in October of 2006. There was one tire that exhibited an indentation in the side wall and excessive wear that occurred after 5,000 miles which was an extremely early stage to experience the defects. The other two tires would loose air pressure and completely deflate. The tires were taken to an independent auto shop. The technician was unable to determine the cause of the defects and informed that the vehicle was out of alignment. There was a discount offered towards the purchase of a new tire to replace the excessively worn tire. The contact was waiting on a response from the tire manufacturer regarding the defective tires. The failure mileage was 5,000.

Car and tires inspected by professional for 2,500mi road trip. All tires appeared fine and were rotated; have 40,000mi wear (70,000mi rated). Within last 250mi, car became imbalanced and lacked stability with computerized van tire monitor also responding. Professional inspection revealed left-rear steel belt visible and tire separated and front-right having early signs for same failure. Left rear tire replaced with full (new) spare, trip completed but last 25mi of trip, van tire monitor engaged again. Professional inspection required all tires be replaced; last three tires were not trustworthy for any driving.

I have 4 Bridgestone insignia tires. Not sure of mileage but I will go back to the dealer on Monday to confirm, however I will guess about 25K to 35K. The tread looks very good. I have steel wires coming out of the sidewall. There are about a dozens wires between 2" and 8" hanging out. I noticed it because you can hear the wires slapping the fender and tire well as rotation occurs. I hope the factory responds in a positive way, we will see. [redacted]

While driving on interstate, right front tire tread separated causing minor damage to fender/bumper. Tire was a Firestone model fr 680 size p205 with 37K miles. Previously left front tire partially separated before replaced with other brand tire. Called Firestone store and manager said this is not a recall. Firestone should recall as these tires are unsafe and could lead to major damage or loss of life.

After owning the car for two days, the tire suffered a flat caused by a rock. If a nail or something else, there would be no complaint, but a rock. Repair shop said the tire May need to be replaced due to the size of the puncture. I feel the tire has to be defective as I have driven on the same rocky road with road tires and never suffered puncture or any damage to my Michelin tires. Neither has my parents or family who live and visit this roadway regularly. Manufacturer is standing behind the warranty clause of non-responsibility due to failure caused by punctures but there is a problem with this and possibly the other tires for this to happen.( dot number: tire size: p215/65r15 )

Steering on the car started shaking at speeds of 65 MPH. The Toyota dealership stated that I needed new tires. A call to Firestone sent me to Cadillac tire and independent dealer. The owner acknowledged that the tires were prematurely worn. He contacted Firestone and spoke with 2 individuals. A lady told him they are an 80000 mile tire. However she couldn't do anything so was referred to another person. He stated that there is no mileage warranty on those original equipment tires. They sent me to the tire store but wouldn't even consider any type of allowance for anything. I also rotated the tires as recommended by the manufacturer.
