I connect my phone to the hand free system especially when traveling, the screen and monitor has been malfunctioning now to the point where I am not able to adjust speakers sound, source and volume. I am only able to to hear from rear speakers. It is illegal to drive and use mobile devices so to be able to connect to a properly working systems is most definitely needed. I have notice that quite a few drivers of Corollas have this issue and dealers wants approximately a thousand dollars to fix (that a new stereo system). Please investigate this issue and recall for repair. Thank you!
I own a 2015 Toyota Corolla s premium. It has the radio system with blue tooth and GPS. The problem is that while I am listening to the radio and the GPS comes on giving directions, the radio does not fade so the radio and the GPS are talking over each other and I can't understand the GPS. Because of the confusion of both voices I have made the wrong turn which has almost LED to accidents. 1-800 Toyota claims there is not a problem but, even my dealership service department agrees there is. There have been many complaints on this but, nothing is really being done.
On 2/19/15 at around 9:27 pm my car was hit by a pickup truck in downtown bellevue, here is what happened 1. I approached the intersection to take a left from bellevue way ne to enter ne 7th st which takes into the Lincoln square cinema parking lot 2. I saw the red signal (exclusive left arrow) and waited for the light to turn green to take left. My car was first in line waiting on red 3. Once the left arrow turned green I started turning left and half way into the roadway a pickup truck (driving at around 45-50 MPH) hit my car on the front passenger side (side collision) 4. With that impact my car was dragged about 15 feet and hit another car, that was standstill and waiting to turn right from ne 7thst to bellevue way ne) the impact to my car was so intense police officer filed a case and interviewed witnesses at the scene and concluded it was other guy (pickup truck) mistake. …
The first accident was in June 29 2012, while I was driving 10 miles an hour (for transit) the car in front of me stopped and I try to stop as well but my car didn't stop (increase its speed) and I crashed in the back of the car (I remain surprised, did not know what had happened). The second accident happened on December the 28th of 2012, around 2:00 pm, I was in my way to new jersey, 2 miles away from the washington bridge; there was a truck in front of me and I was not moving and pushing the brakes but all of a sudden my vehicle started going forward so I used the hand brake trying to stop it; but my car still crash the other car on the back. I bought this car zero miles from your dealer (hudson Toyota) and I am very upset and disappointed! This shouldn't happen to me if the car would be in perfect conditions!!, I am always worry driving it, I don't know when this will happen again!! …
I was making a routine turn and lost control of steering. It only happened the one time, police report said car rolled two or three times, total loss to car and injury to driver. I don't remember exactly the cause other than I lost control. Can't say any of the recalls did or did not cause the accident. My primary complaint is that I paid for front and side airbags, and none deployed on a car that rolled two or three times. Why am I paying for equipment that is not effective? If a car rolls over at minimum the side airbags should have deployed. I would also think this would trigger the other air bags. With all the recalls how would we know if any of these contributed to the crash? I understand the rollover rating applies to the stability of the car, but rating the safety in a rollover accident should also be rated. Why don't air bags deploy automatically when car hits sides or the roof? …
2010 Toyota Corolla loose driver's side floormat between lodged between brake pedal and accelerator causes car to accelerate while trying to stop. Already caused two rear-end collisions. Factory-provided floor mat and holddown clips were never installed by the factory or the dealer. We were unsuccessful in getting any help from Toyota sales, USA, or rice Toyota, local dealer.
This is a follow up to a previous complaint. I felt compelled to do so after reading other issues people were having with there Toyota corollas (s). I purchased this car June 1st 2009. Three weeks after purchase I noticed something was wrong with the paint. I took it to the dealers, the service dept manager looked at it and said it was due to the environment, the sales guy told me it was due to tree sap and the third time I took it the sales manager said it was from bird crap ( it's garaged most of the time). Weeks later I was hit by a concrete truck, at first thought it was the trucks fault but not real sure now because of the difficult steering with this car. At the time of the accident there was no air bag deployment. I had the car repaired by a private shop, they couldn't understand why the airbag did not deploy. While my car was there they looked at the paint. …
On 2/26/10 I brought my 2009 Toyota Corolla le to north hills Toyota/Scion service center at 711 browns lane pgh pa 15237 to have the recall work performed. As per the work order #tocs162571, the work performed was: installing accelerator pedal reinforcement bar, brake inspection, installing intake air tube connector kit. Up until that time, I had not experienced any problems. On 3/1/10 at 10:25 am, the 2009 Toyota Corolla abruptly accelerated to over 7,000 rpms while my foot was applied to brake as I was coming to a stop at a red light. The car continued to move despite applying extra pressure to the brake with my foot. I then turned the car off with the key, put it in park, waited approx. 1 minute, and restarted the car. The acceleration was much worse than the first time and the needle on the tachometer again went to over 7,000 rpms and the engine sounded like a "jet engine". …
