My car went into a deep ditch and the driver of my car incurred a terrible concussion while banging her head on the steering wheel upon impact. Her seat belt was on. I want to know why the airbag did not deploy.
The quality of Goodyear viva 2 tires is very very poor !!!! Goodyear gives a warranty of 60,000 miles on them. However, the last set for me lasted only 15,000 miles, ie., they ran out 45,000 miles earlier !!!! That is 75% earlier !!!! This has been happening repeatedly for the last 7-8 yrs, ie., since 2008 !!!! I had to get new tires 7 times in the last 7 yrs!!!! I have all my tire invoices since 2008 to prove my case !!!! Summary of new viva 2 tires installed: 1. 4 new tires - on 7-14-2008 & 1 new tire - on 5-16-2009 2. 4 new tires - on 10-11-2010 3. 1 new tire - on 10-16-2012 (w/ pro-rated refund) & 1 new tire on 10-16-2012 (w/out refund) 4. 4 new tires - on 12-5-2013 5. 4 new tires - on 7-24-2015 summary of additional work done: 1. Alignments - on 10-22-2012 - on 12-6-2013 - (there could be other alignments, for which I need to get info on). 2. Rotations & balancing - 9-1-2010

My 2003 Camry had been great since the date of purchase. Only had 2 problems with the car, one minor the other was major. I have 25000 miles on the car, and both the front tires were bare. I was able to see all the treads from the tires. The major problem I got was my Camry caught on fire and melted the entire engine. I'd pulled up to the parking lot at work, and 20 minutes later, I was notified that my engine was on fire. Spoke with fire department and they said it looks like faulty/malfunction wire/cables. Not sure if Toyota knows of this, but now I'm left w/o a car until m insurance figures everything out. Toyota should be notify in case there was a defect in the 2003 models.
While driving (2003 Toyota) 60 MPH on interstate hwy with moderate amount of traffic, the left, rear tire blew out and completely seperated. Potenza re92 is the OEM vehicle difficult to control, went into major skid.
The problem is with the aluminum alloy chrome wheels. I purchased new tires at sears in December of 2004 with all new valve stems and speed balances. Approximately 2 to 3 months later, 2 & 3 tires were losing air (slowly) constantly. Sears showed me that the alloy rim was deteriorating around the valve stems and that I should take it back to the dealer. Because it was over the warranty mileage, the dealer (route 44 Toyota in raynham, mass.) wouldn't do anything about this. I even went to the district managers office with no luck. I explained to them that all I wanted was the standard wheel for replacement with wheel covers. My point is, if tires lose the air inflation, there's likely to be "tire failure" contributing to more accidents on our national highways. I'm sure I'm not the only one with "alloy wheels" with this problem. …
Car dealer says two of the car's original tires are worn out with car at 19,970 miles. Tires are worn to the indicators on the outside. Tires were rotated to the back of the car. Dealer did not indicate if other two tires were wearing also. My son noticed side wear on the tires at about 18,000 miles. Dealer says car needs alignment but no alignment check was made to my knowledge. Dealer could not do alignment this day, I will take care of asap. Tires have been rotated at manufacturer's recommendations and kept at proper inflation.car has been serviced on a regular basis. Tires are Bridgestone, potenza, p205/65r15 92t.

I was in the driver seat waiting to turn left, when suddenly I got hit from the rear right part of my car. From that moment the car could not drive.. The rear left part of the car body and the tire was totally damaged. The repair shop declared that the car could not be repaired any more. Only later of the incident did I remember that the airbags did not work at all.
