I have a question as to if there have been any other reported problems with the actual rim of the tire, the wheel itself. My brand new tire would lose air and no leak could be found, so I replaced the tire with another new one. The problem kept occuring - finally the culprit was found to be a small pinhole leak in the actual wheel, located on the far inside. I was told by 3 separate mechanics that this hole could not have been caused by any type of machinery and it might be a defect in the rim itself. My question is if this is a defect of the construction and if any other complaints have been reported. I dont have my VIN # as my car is not with me right now. I can supply later if needed. Should I contact a local Toyota dealer? Thanks for your time

Took to Toyota, sent to tire kingdom and charged $46 for replacement.got off and checked, found bubble, took to Toyota, sent to pan American tire charged $60 for replacement. Third time uneven ride, loud road noise on highway, found bubble.will take to Toyota. All three tires were original tires that came with car, same batch. Concerned for safety and don't feel I should have to be charged for manufacturer's defect. Would like refund and replacement of all four tires. Thank you.( dot number: acrw2w5297 tire size: 195x70r14 )
Problems with vehicle's transmission. Toyota over filled the transmission by 1 1/2 quarts. The consumer was told that it was okay. Transmission fluid started to drain. The vehicle started having troubles climbing on inclines. There were vibrations when driving 50 MPH and over, and constant flats and blow outs occurred. (destiny Michelin) there were also problems with the power steering, struts, and the rotors.

Gradually drove off towards shoulder. Tire separated and landed about 20 feet in back of car on road. No injuries. We have not spoken to dealer yet. For general tire altimax hp - dot 65uv 3t4 2707, the last four digits (2707) of the dot tire identification number are only molded into one side of the tire; you have to remove the tire or lift the vehicle to see the full identification number, including the date of manufacture, which is needed to register the tire with the manufacturer, in order to be notified in case of a recall.
Full size spare tire was overinflated to about 50 psi. This general hp 400 tire maximum pressure rating printed on tire wall is 44 psi. The owner's manual indicated tire should be inflated to 32 psi. It is a safety issue if tire explodes in trunk or fails on the road.
While driving at highway speed could hear a noise coming from left front tire. Then, upon stopping discovered a tread separation. Toyota, Camry, 1998, p-195/70r14. Consumer statesleft wheel separated from rim, vehicle was towed to dealership.
