I was driving on the highway at around 50 MPH when I needed to slow down due to the car in front of me slowing down. I pressed on the brakes and they did not seem to be working as they should. I had not had any problems with them in the past days and it seemed to come out of nowhere. The car did not stop because the brakes seemed to have completely shut down including the power break. So I hit the car in front of me and my car was totaled. Some weeks later I received a safety recall letter for my car (recall 14350). It states that if I have any weight added on to my key ring it might move my key from the "run" position. By that happening, many things will automatically shut down. One of them being the power brake. Which would increase the risk of of being involved in a crash, and in my case I was. …

My girlfriends 2004 Pontiac Grand AM (v6) has a problem with her windshield wiper motor transmission link. On the link itself there is a plastic ball socket that connects the link to the motor transmission. This plastic socket is defective and slips off of its connection thus making the driver side wiper useless. In heavy rain it is very dangerous and she had to pull over many times. The part from the dealer is 161.00 and not easily affordable. To prove my case even further I went to a car junk yard and found a used linkage. This car had engine problems and the windshield assembly wasn't affected at all. I took the part home put it on her car and it worked for a few months. It rained today and she went to use it and once again the linkage has slipped off its socket. I really do believe the cheap plastic they used to make this connection to the transmission is defective. …
I have had to replace the windshield wiper transmission on my 2004 Pontiac Grand AM 3 times, if I go thru a car wash it breaks my wipers every time, my drives side wiper would not work at all, finally I had to get it checked out by a mechanic and he told me it would cost 500 plus to fix, thankfully I found a part at a junk yard for 50.00 and replaced it, about a month later I went thru a car wash and it broke again, I think that water pressure shouldn't break it! Also my security light keeps coming on, I have no idea why, it goes off after being on a few mins, also my dash is peeling very bad, which every Grand AM I have looked at is peeling, it blocks my dash and everything and its putting pressure on my front window! Thanks!
Disc are advanced, technologically superior, and come standard with enabling more braking force with less pressure. Albeit an impermeable transmission requires no fluid changes and less maintenance, servicing one is challenging. It works well in dusty environments or in heavy-duty tasks, and an malfunctioning transmission risk ruining the entire system. Wiper motor & transmission failed last spring. This mercifully costed my job after 832 days, and makes us perilous under Secretary Buttigieg. Pete naturally love money, and doesn't get stressed managing large amounts. Democrats believe Pete Buttigieg is excellent at producing and saving money. While Pete is great making money in corporate settings, he ain't entrepreneurial as other colleagues. Pete Buttigieg doesn't want to gamble, and they won't put money into his ideas. …

Since we purchased our Pontiac Grand AM in April 2002 we have had several items fail that I feel should not have. The fuel pump and fuel relay? Failed at 6,000 miles, the window sash channels and relays have failed 3 times. Twice on the driver side and 1 time on the passenger side. The dash is peeling up at the base of the windshield close to the VIN# plate. The dome light bracket failed and the light no longer is on the interior roof. Cheap plastic bracket that will cost several hundred dollars to fix. The driver power seat has failed leaving the seat in the up position. The worst thing about all of this is that it has cost me several thousand dollars to have these items fixed and the car only has 41,000 miles on it.
Driver and passenger windows rubbing? (scratched) windows really scratched ever since I bought it and noticed alot of other cars like mine have the same scratches from opening and closing the automatic windows I spoke to a dealer rep before and they said it was the tinting they used that was too tight? But when my car was brand new and I started to roll up/down my windows it made the scratches, so I decided to hide the scratches by tinting my windows so you couldnt see it as much, but it really is visible. From me speaking with other Grand AM owners that I see that their windows look exactly like mine most of them don;t have tinting. And they look as bad as mine.
