After having to get the wheels bearings replaced in my front wheels, I started hearing a knocking/clicking noise coming from the wheels. I took it back to the same place and they replaced the bearings again, but the noise was still there. The third and fourth time I took it there they replaced cv joints and front controls arms. The noise was still there. I gave up on that garage. I took it to a second place where they pretty much took apart everything under the front end of my car. Four months later I still hear the clicking, and I think this current problem is related. Driving down the highway last week the ABS, service vehicle soon, and traction off light all came on. Took it to a repair shop and they have no idea what is wrong (no codes). After I start my car, the first few times I brake, it makes a clanking noise and the brakes lose all pressure for a few seconds. …
I have after market rims with sumitomo htr+ 225/40zr18 tires. On my way traveling to california from louisiana my rear tire blew out causing my rim to crack and it also scrached up the lower right half of my car, it cost me $600.00 to replace the rim and tire and now I have a bubble forming in my front driver side tire I think that the company who makes this tire should refund me the money I spent to replace the rim and tire, fix the damage to my car, and also give me a replacement for the one with the bubble. Something needs to be done because im not the only one this has happened to my frind has the same exact tires and his did the same thing only he was at a stop light when it happened.these tires are not cheap and I still have to repaire the body damage. Thank you from a concered soldier of the army.
Kumo tires, 225/50r16 , dot#y0f8ya3f4903. The consumer was driving at approximately 50 MPH when the right front tire blew out. The tire had only 13,000 miles on it when the tire sidewall blew out. The consumer took the vehicle back to the tire distributor where it was noticed that the other 3 tires had excessive wear. Also, the consumer had to replace all four tires which had only 15,334 miles. All of the tires had 3 rotations, yet the tires just wore out prematurely. The cause of the premature wear was undetermined.
Grinding noises coming from front end. Took to dealer and was told it is a wheel on rim incompatibility. They will not change cause there is no recall on the parts. Was told if I bought new tires and rims it would help. Spent $1300 on tires and rims to still hear the noise. Took it back for the dealer to say they cant help cause of the factory warranty being over and the company that help my extended warranty filed bankrupcy.
The tires are very weak and are not very "durable." from the experience I've had, I don't feel safe with the tires and wheels on my car. Every time I'm driving somewhere and encounter everyday road conditions, I'm scared to find a flat, popped tire; or blowout. I've had the exterior black lining fixed 2 times and I'm not happy it is happening again! The rear windshield weather strip is separating. The lower body mold is comiing off the body around the entire vehicle. A suspension cover part doesn't fit, has been to dave cross service dept. Where car spent 4 days and said to be repaired, I got my car back and it was worse than when it went there. Whoever has replaced the front bumper is a complete moron! It isn't lined up with the proper things! The driver side is lower than the passenger side. The car sounds like it is going to fall apart on a perfect road! …

I own a 2000 Pontiac Grand AM gt, and I AM completely frustrated with the lack of response to all of the Grand AM's problems. There is a grinding/rubbing noise coming from the front of car. I was told it needed new rotors and pads....well I have done that twice now within the last 4 months, and still the noise is there. Then I was told it was the transmission....replaced that and the noise is still there. Now I have found out by all of the other hundreds of complaints on this car that the noise is more than likely faulty Goodyear tires. When I called local Pontiac dealer they told me that there was nothing that could do without charge because of no recall on the tires. I AM to my boiling point with this car and something has got to be done by Pontiac.
Heard loud noise coming from front part tires while driving. I knew it wasn't the brakes. Took it to my regular mechanic and was told it was a bad wheel bearing. $400 later it was replaced. This is not my first problem with this car. 1st problem: blower motor went, 2nd: water pump went, 3rd: was told ignition column needs to be replaced, 4th: shoe over timing belt wore away because of water pump problem. There have been numerous other problems including replacement of the brakes. My car only has 53,000 miles on it and was bought brand new in June of 2000. For the money I have spent on it, I could've had a Lexus!
Consumer states at very slow speeds just before stopping, there was a scraping/rubbing sound that would come from the front end, new front disk brake pads were installed along with new rotors, however this did not remedy the problem, the dealer stated that the vehicle was experiencing incompatibility between the standard equipment aluminum sport wheels and the original Goodyear Eagle rs-a tires, p225/50r16, dealer informed consumer that this was a tire problem and that a new set of tires should remedy the problem.
Consumer called complaining about having problems with the tire. Also stated that has called the dealer and dealer stated that there is a problem with the tire separating the rim wich a causes a robbing sound wich it will make it a difective tire. Goodyear Eagle. Wich is original equipment. Mr
