Brake lights stay on when the car is in drive. Cruise control will not work. There are other intermittent electrical issues that are not safety related. With the brake lights always on, other drivers don't know when I'm stopping. The problem is ongoing and has been confirmed by an independent mechanic. there were no warning lights or messages. the problem started several years ago before I owned the car.
Electrical system has mysteriously drained 2 batteries, the exterior lights vary on which will work despite the bulbs being good, the electric power steering comes on then off at inopportune times makes steering heavy and difficult to maintain Speed fluctuation the car will jump into gear or rev up to appropriate gear.
Driving along the road a deer came out we tried to swerve to avoid the deer and slammed on the brakes, and vehicle lost steering due to anti skid failure, does not indicate anti skid failure, shows it is operational, tires were very heavily flat spotted, we went off the road and hit a sign and damaged the front of the car after this the air bag sensor is dangling we had no air bag deployment. Took it into the dealership when it was still under factory warranty and we were told the anti skid and our cruise control problem was all working and normal, the car will surge forward very fast when the cruise is set, it will go about 10 MPH past the set speed, and will go back to the set speed, but not until it goes very quickly to the point where if your not careful you will run up on someone in front of you.
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing the same failure as NHTSA campaign number: 14V252000 (electrical system, electronic stability control, exterior lighting, service brakes, hydraulic, vehicle speed control). The contact stated that the brake lights illuminated on and off occasionally. Also, the gear shifter would not switch out of the park position. While driving on highway at 60 MPH on highway right line almost at my exit . The GPS fell from the window and must of hit the area of the shift column it didn't come out of drive though. The car shut off. I was able to move over to the shoulder push the flashes and emergency break when the brakes did not work just a large nose steering didn't work well. Bringing it to the dealership and have them check the steering column out again. This is the 2nd time the car shut off while driving I feel this is a part of the original recall in 2015 that listed this make, model and year Pontiac G6 2007 massachusetts route 2 west leominster. Ma. Restarted the car, got to my destination, and drove home that night lower speeds.

Brake lights fail & instrument panel shows trouble. Auto headlights don't go on/off when take foot of brake to put in drive or reverse or neutral car jerks badly & acceleration occurs even if I don't push foot pedal. Happens when car is stopped with foot on brake & when trying to park, when at red light stopped w foot on brake & try to put in neutral. Foot on brake then when engage any gear car lunges jerks & accelerates severely forward.
Takata recall my son gave me this vehicle and it sent me a warning about engine loss while driving. Sometimes it picks up and sometimes it doesn't. I also noticed it doesn't have a transmission fluid resivoir. Sometimes theirs a gas leak while idle and sometimes they don't.
