Rear seatbelts trigger a no seatbelt alarm when somebody unbuckles and leaves the vehicle. As well as when somebody leaves and comes back and puts on the seatbelt, the alarm saying that the seatbelt is still not buckled up. It only does it after somebody does buckle in and buckle out and reset anytime the car is turned off and then turned back on. Found out that the rear seats do not have weight sensors, and this has to do with the actual seatbelts sensors. Noticed that buckling the center seatbelt sometimes, sometimes, will cancel out the alarm. In either case, the audible alarm within the vehicle, goes off within two minutes. At my first oil change, dealership said that to wait till the second oil change to see if it fixes itself. Went in for another visit at 7500 miles, and mentioned that it was not fixing itself and that tired of having to deal with it. …
Date of purchase from dealer: right passenger door lock non-functional. the salesperson had to have the door opened from the outside to exit the car. He took the care to be repaired while the paperwork was completed. Subsequently I have been unable to exit both doors without pushing the UNLOCK button. The door handle does not itself open the door. 2. Both screens flicker/dim/darken, and at times are completely black for up to 5 seconds. 3. The rear passenger seat belt is extremely difficult to latch with child safety seat in place. The car was taken to two different dealers without any repair/s completed. I was told the door lock having to be manually opened was a 'safety feature'. I was told that the screen dims on purpose related to a monitor on the dash. I brought a video of it happening. It happens in the dark with no streetlights or change of lighting. …
At the beginning of June in 2021 my car started showing signs of failing to start. This led to some problems with it driving and the automatic braking system causing problems. The dealer ship fix the piece that connects under the brakes. It was some kind of sensor. This on June 12 of 2021. March 28 2022 I had the problem my car was not starting. I took it in to the dealership they replaced my battery March 29th my check engine light came on I got to codes PO 101 and PO 315. I paid to get the sensors repaid and was told that my crankshaft should be all right if I clean it or I can replace it. I took the car in again April 20 because it was failing to start. The individual who help me in services had the same problem. They brought out their mechanic and the mechanic said no codes were shown. She explained to me that it might be an issue with the Battery that they replaced. …
I have a 2019 Nissan Sentra with only 17,000 miles. The seatbelt indicator light stays on even while wearing the seatbelt. There is no warning chime just the light. However, if there is a passenger the seatbelt indicator light will go off. My concern is for the passenger's safety. I'm concerned if everything will work like it should especially if there happens to be an accident and the airbags deploy.
On [redacted], my 2018 Nissan Sentra was involved in a severe accident on [redacted] in Maryland. Despite the high-impact nature of the collision, none of the airbags deployed. The driver's seat collapsed completely, causing total loss of control, and the seatbelt system applied excessive pressure, restricting movement dangerously. Nissan North America refused to inspect the vehicle and redirected responsibility to the insurance company without addressing the obvious technical failures. Additionally, I have provided video footage and photographs documenting the extent of the damage. My son, the driver, suffered serious physical injuries, emotional trauma, and financial loss due to post-accident disability. I respectfully request an immediate investigation into the safety defects of the 2018 Nissan Sentra regarding airbags, seat structure, and seatbelt system.
Tl* the contact owned a 2018 Nissan Sentra. While driving approximately 20 MPH, a second vehicle traveling approximately 65 MPH crashed into the front of the contact's vehicle. All the air bags deployed except the driver side curtain air bag. In addition, the front driver and passenger side seat belts did not restrain properly and caused the front passenger to strike the windshield. The driver sustained an injured torso and ribs, which required medical treatment. The front passenger sustained a fractured neck and lacerations to the left arm, which also required medical treatment. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to an undisclosed location. The cause of the failures was not determined. The local dealer (peltier Nissan, 3201 ssw loop 323, tyler, tx) and the manufacturer were notified of the failures. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 13,000.
The contact owned a 2017 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while driving 45 MPH and coasting to the right around a curve, after completing the maneuver, the accelerator was depressed, the cruise control was set at 48 MPH, and the steering wheel was turned to the left but independently turned all the way to the right. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced a failure with the steering position sensor. The contact let go of the steering when and the vehicle left the road and ran into a pile of leaves. The vehicle struck an unknown object on the ground, the vehicle then went airborne, and the roof of the vehicle struck a tree. The contact stated that the vehicle spun around and ended up in the South bound lane with the passenger's side quarter panel still on the roadway. …
My driver door opens while i'm driving, the first time it happened in feb 2023 had i not have my seatbelt on I would have fell out of car. It has happened severals more times, it feels like the lock or the pin is not engaging. Now my front passenger door is starting as well. I contacted Nissan Consumer affairs the woman was arrogant with No concern over my safety, maybe it's a defective door or lock or something and the mgr [redacted] said nissan can't help me, I asked a question if this fell under the NJ lemon law and she said no. I also complained that a dealer will not fix my stop light recall PM971 -21V-135 They put me on a waiting list 1 yr ago, I merely asked if this caused an accident what would happen? She sent me an email stating this I should have my attorney contact them. …
