The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode and the vehicle decelerated independently. During the failure, the check engine and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the throttle body wiring harness was faulty and needed to be replaced. The throttle body wiring harness was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 89,000.
The Nissan rogue when warm weather hits the CVT transmission seems to get hot and then you lose propulsion. You can't even put it in reverse and you cannot accelerate at all. You have to get out. Push the car wait 10 minutes and then hope to try it again. What works as we have to do a reset on a CVT system? Turn the ignition on by not turning the car on step on the break put it in reverse. Hit the accelerator three times slowly then wait five seconds put it in park. Turn it off to accept the changes and then two more times. Follow the same process for your car to turn on so you can drive off They are recommending that we should purchase a cooling system for a transmission fluid. This doesn't make sense. Everybody's complaining about this.
Loss of power after driving for an hour or more and going uphill. RPMs will only go to 3000 and unable to accelerate. Driving in heavy traffic going through Salt Lake City interstate 15, had loss of power and was unable to accelerate as traffic slowed and then sped up again. Just returned from the 2245 mile trip and experienced the problem multiple times. One time was parked in a driveway at a slight decline and was unable to back out of the driveway until I waited for the engine to cool off. I did call my local dealer where it was purchased and they told me it was an underlying issue. Will be scheduling a diagnostic check this coming week. No warning lights on dash, just sudden loss of power.
My car is a 2013 Rogue S with 118,000 miles. Two weeks ago I was on the I-95 at around 70 miles an hour and the car suddenly goes to 45 miles, despite my insistence to maintain my speed, I had to give up and pull over to the right ... I was able to go home at low speed and this experience traumatized me. After that I consulted a mechanic who told me without joking that these cars have the worst transmission and I should contact Nissan. I contacted Nissan customer service to explain the problem, they told me no and gave me a case number (52135330). After checking, it turns out that following repeated complaints Nissan would have increased the warranty up to 120,000 miles, but not for me!
I was driving down interstate 40 at 75 miles an hour and my car just quit in traffic. Luckily I was able to pull over to the side of the road and set for about 10 minutes and my car started back up and I made it about 30 more miles and it quit again and I waited 10 minutes and it starts up again. That's very dangerous in traffic.
I have a 2013 Nissan Rogue that is heavily rusted underneath, which makes driving unsafe. Additionally, both the catalytic converter and the transmission are in poor condition. I think Japan should ban Nissan from making more bad cars like this car.
I was driving my car to appointment up a hill and the transmission completely gave out, additionally, since I bought it, It has consistently had problems accelerating, and getting above 45mph. The problem cannot be pinpointed
I was accelerating to merge onto an expressway today, and my acceleration cut out in my vehicle. My vehicle lost all acceleration and coasted to idle speed. I was luckily able to move off the expressway at idle speed, but I May have not been so lucky in another scenario. I also noticed that my brake lights stay on sometimes when the car is off or the pedal is not pressed. The car seems to think the brakes are engaged and will not allow any acceleration. I found this TSB for my vehicle that describes the exact issue I am facing. However, the TSB is inaccurate. It states there is "low power" when accelerating. There is actually "no power." the car does not accelerate at all when this issue is encountered but will coast to idle speed. This issue puts the driver's life at risk, as well as others on the road, and should result in a full recall before people die. …
While traveling on the highway the car started slowing down even though I was pressing on the gas. This happened a little over an hour into driving. I pulled off and after a little while started driving again and everything was fine. On a second occasion after driving on the highway for a little over an hour again I pulled off to get gas and stopped at a red light. When the light turned green, I press my foot on the gas and the car did not move. Picked my foot up and press down again with no movement at first but then the car started rolling very very slowly. It finally picked up enough speed to get me out of the intersection and to the gas station. My destiination was about 45 minutes away and I did make it there without any other incidents. …
While on my way back to louisiana from my vacation in florida driving west bound on interstate 10. My vehicle suddenly lost power going up an incline on the interstate and the problem continued down the decline. I pulled off the interstate to a gas station and checked my vehicle for leakage and found none. I checked all fluid levels the way the manufacturer instructs you to and all levels were in operating range. I returned to the interstate and the same problem as before happened again. This time I was boxed in by 18 wheelers and almost got in an accident trying to exit the interstate. I started checking internet to see what the problem was and found out I'm not the only person who is having these same problems with their Nissan. Honestly this had to be a safety concern and needs to be corrected. Feel free to contact me at [redacted] with any more questions. Thank you, [redacted]
