"Takata recall". Reference # 11140309. Current info on report incorrect. Please update with below. Recall number 16V363 and 16V081. I purchased my pre-owned GLK350 on dec 24 2016. The dealer alm of duluth did not inform me of an open recall. I received a recall notification from mb dec 2017 stating parts would be available March 30, 2018. On March 2018, another notice stated it's delayed until June 30, 2018. As of today, still no notifications as to when the airbags will be replaced. This vehicle is a daily driver. Oct 2018, I went to mb of athens and asked about the Takata recall. The service mgr said they were replacing airbags on 2009 c-class. Mb headquarters said this is incorrect and that mb vehicles do not require the replacement because no mb vehicles have been involved in a Takata related incident. …
According to the NHTSA and mbusa this car has two recalls on it due to airbags potentially killing ocupants in the vehicle. I knew about the first recall but not about the second recall on the vehicle until I got a letter from mbusa two weeks ago addressing the issue. When I look on NHTSA the recall dates back to May of 2016 but mbusa has notified me two weeks ago. Reading on the NHTSA website the manufacture has 60 days to produce a solution on a recall but it has been well past the 6 months for one recall, well past one year for the recall. Please help me in getting a solution from mbusa to resolve the issue, my life could be taken away at any minute.
My warning indicator is going on and off stating there is an airbag problem. Nothing so far has happened other than I have the takeda airbags in my car and am becoming frightened. It started flashing that warning about one or two months ago but my dealer states that it is not a problem and they don't have the parts available for the recall replacement. I am concerned. It happens when the car is stationary from what I recall.
Takata inflators have not been repaired told by dealers that these airbags are dangerous and could cause severe injury to passengers. Tork control unit or transmission is not functioning properly faulty trans on the car per dealer has not been repaired told there was several 2011 glk 350 with this concern Mercedes is to repair but has not.car in motion when occurs
"Takata recall" I am complaing because I have been the owner of this vehicle for two years now and each time I contact my dealership about replacing my airbag, they say the part is not in. I am worried day and night about having an accident and being injured. I have already been involved in two accidents. The car was in motion when both accidents occured.
August 2016,Mercedes-Benz recalled my vehicle because of recall NHTSA #16v-363. As of today, there is no replacement airbag available. My car has become worthless as a trade-in with this defect. I have not had an accident, but should not have to travel so cautiously, praying that nothing happens.
My wife was t bone on dec., 24, 2018 by another vehicle she flipped 2 time and hit a guard rail the air bags never deployed. She is now home and healing. I wanted to know how she will be compensated my your company cause the air bags was never fixed in her car.
Takata recall manufacturer and dealer have failed to address the issue for more two years. Messages left on manufacturer's recall number have gone unanswered and dealer says they have no information.
Takata recall: NHTSA recall # 16v-081 the manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz, is unable to remedy the safety recall for my car. It has been over a year since I received the first recall notice for the driver-side airbags and nothing has been done. I contacted Mercedes-Benz several times. They do not have the parts to repair the air bags yet they have the time, resources and technologies to develop and produce new cars. Knowing that I am driving a car with defective air bags that could injure or kill is causing me a lot of stress and anxiety. I bought this car several year ago with the idea that my son would drive it. This car is unsafe and deadly. The deployment of the airbag can result in metal fragments striking the driver or passengers. It is unacceptable that, almost 2 years after the Takata recall, nothing has been done by Mercedes-Benz and that I am left with a car that is hazardous.

Desiccated Air Bag Inflator Rupture
From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited.
