Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2007-2010 Lexus LS vehicles manufactured May 9, 2006, to July 20, 2010, 2006-2011 Lexus GS vehicles manufactured January 6, 2005, to September 10, 2010, and 2006-2011 Lexus IS vehicles manufactured August 30, 2005, to September 10, 2010.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will clean and reseal the fuel pressure sensor mounting area, free of charge. The recall began March 3, 2015. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.

Toyota is recalling certain model year 2006-2012 Lexus IS250 and IS350 vehicles manufactured August 23, 2005, through October 5, 2011; 2010-2012 Lexus IS250C and IS350C vehicles manufactured April 10, 2009, through October 6, 2011; and 2008-2011 Lexus IS-F vehicles manufactured December 14, 2007, through July 10, 2011.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and Lexus dealers will install new wiper arm nuts, free of charge. An interim letter was mailed to owners on April 4, 2013. Owners may contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331.

Desiccated Air Bag Inflator Rupture
From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited.

Takata recall: recall began May 23,2016. Lexus has not fixed my car and it IS now jan 20, 2017. Eight months IS entirely too long to still be determining the solution. The safecar.gov site states that some cars have been fixed. I am in the first phase of recalls, yet still don't have a car that I can drive!!
Lexus consumer writes in regards to vehicle airbag explosion during accident. The consumer stated his wife was a passenger in the vehicle which rear ended another vehicle. The consumer's wife stated the explosion of the air bag and flying debris caused more injuries than the accident itself.
Speed control & acceleration
Tl* the contact was driving a loaner 2010 Lexus is250. The contact was applying the brakes from approximately 5 MPH when the vehicle abnormally accelerated and hit a school bus. The contact shifted the vehicle into park to stop the vehicle. A police report was filed but no injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer where they were unable to diagnose the failure. The failure mileage was 6,800 and the current mileage was unknown. Updated 03/29/11 the consumer stated there was no damage to the loaner vehicle or the bus, only a bent license plate. Updated 08/19/11
I was turning into a 10 feet deep strip parking lot and the Lexus is250 (2010) I was driving suddenly accelerated and crashed into a parked car. I do not recall either stepping on the accelerator or the brake. The distance from turning into the parking lot and the car I hit was approximately 5 feet. I did not have time to react. The airbags opened and the front was massively damaged.
