What 2022 Infiniti QX60 owners say

Electrical system

This vehicle has been to the dealership five times for the car alarm will randomly go off. This issue is hard to replicate. In the final time that I took it to the dealer, I had a rental car and what we found is that when the car is parked and it's locked and you pull in next to it. The car alarm will go off the car was never touched. It just goes off. does it go off in that situation every single time no. So it's at the point where if the alarm goes off, it doesn't mean anything to me. There is no concern. It's like the boy who cried wolf this car just the alarm will just go off anytime it's locked and in a parking lot or just sitting by itself I have asked Infinity corporate to get involved and they said that they have done everything to help and they are unable to fix the problem

With less than 2000 miles, the dash has blacked out while driving and that seems to have cleared finally. Now the hatch back will randomly open when walking near the back of the vehicle. Sometimes when the hatch is open, it will close while putting groceries in the back. It has been in to Infiniti for this and battery was replaced because they said it was bad. After a couple of days, hatch is acting up again like it has its own mind. Fortunately, it has not open while driving but warning light will come on saying it is not secure. Stop and reclose, repeat. Ugh. Infiniti is picking up tomorrow to have another look at the system. Hopefully they can repair because we love our vehicle otherwise.

Transmission & drivetrain

I was moving down a small slope behind other vehicles at a speed of 40-50 mph. In order to slow down a bit, I decided to manually downshift gear, I pressed the left switch and expected that after changing gear the speed it would begin to decline. But instead of slowing down, I felt a push in my back and for a second the car began to accelerate and only then began to slow down. I had to urgently apply the brakes so as not to crash into the car in front. I tried again to shift down and each time before changing the gear the car accelerated, although I did not press the accelerator pedal. To test why this is happening, I connected an OBD 2 device to record time, speed, absolute throttle position, accelerator pedal position and engine RPM. I have reproduced the situation on the track and it appears that the car's software actually increases throttle during manual downshifts. …

While driving, vehicle displays Engine Malfunction warning and loses propulsion/ability to accelerate. Vehicle remains electrically powered. Restarting the vehicle may temporarily restore limited drivability. This has occurred four times despite manufacturer-authorized repairs. The ECM was replaced after a prior occurrence and the same failure subsequently recurred.

The vehicle shifts from drive into neutral intermittently. This has happed several times over the coarse of 2 years that we have had vehicle. It has occurred on both highway and street driving and is a major safety concern. We have brought it into the dealership and they could not replicate it the first time and now they are working with Infiniti to troubleshoot.

Our 2022 Infiniti QX60 was brought in at Infiniti Service Center for regular oil change. The car had 29,564 miles. After the service, I was deciding whether to take the highway or the local route. I thought of stopping by the church, so I decided to take the local route. After driving for 4.2 miles on a road with cars moving at 45 mph, our QX60 suddenly just stalled. The car cannot be started. Dashboard lights were fading. It was good hazard lights were still blinking. It was a terrifying experience seeing how fast cars & trailer trucks were going behind us. We had to call 911 to have a police car go behind us & avoid oncoming traffic colliding & piling on our car. We called Infiniti Roadside Assistance to help us get a towing truck to bring the car back to service. The service center said that they will change the fuel injector. …
