Okay, I'm going to try my best at explaining what I am experiencing. This is my SECOND Hyundai Accent. The first car I had was a 2004 Accent. The second car I have now is a 2015. Both cars have the same exact problem. And I am NOT fixing it. This is definitely a MANUFACTURING ERROR. It's so dangerous too, because my engine could just BLOW UP. Anywhoooo, both cars just BURN OIL LIKE GAS. I repeat, BURN OIL LIKE GAS. I need to check the oil every (at the most) 2 weeks because of how badly oil is just burning up. Also, there is a "Check Engine" code being thrown for something small in the EVAP System. Same cars, 11 years apart. Same problems!? I don't think that is right WHATSOEVER. I have researched ongoing recalls & expired recalls. To my disappointment, I find NOTHING. This is a MAJOR ISSUE. …
My 2015 Hyundai Accent started having issues with oil consumption at about 80,000 miles or so. I was having to check and add oil to the vehicle regularly in addition to oil changes. The oil consumption issue got worse as the vehicle got higher in miles, having to check and add oil every 600-1000 miles approximately. I was not aware of the known issue with Hyundai motors and the oil consumption so I was not tracking milage or dates of adding oil unfortunately. At about 100,135 miles, the vehicle suddenly broke down on my way to work. There was no warning other than the oil consumption problem. The car RPMs got very high and the car started decelerating until it wouldn't go forward anymore and was stalled on the side of the road. …
Engine/power train the engine went out on my vehicle while I was traveling from houston to dallas texas on a major highway. I had it towed to Hyundai dealership who diagnosed the engine problem. I was asked to provide documentation that showed oil change maintenance was being performed from 70K-82K miles. I provided that information to the dealership and they conducted a pre-approval and sent it over to Hyundai corporate. After several days waiting and stranded in dallas, I received the news that the claim was denied for improper maintenance. Unfortunately, I was not told what type of maintenance was needed since I provided the documentation requested that showed I did have maintenance. I called Hyundai corporate to file a complaint and get a better reason for denial. I was told I should have received a call with more information and I still have not received any feedback. …
While driving the car it loses electrical power and the vehicle stalls, which causes it to lose lights, gauges, steering, etc. The car will not restart immediately after stalling out, sometimes up to an hour. This is a very dangerous situation and has happened over 8 times now. The local Hyundai dealer said it might be the ip junction box or it might be a lose grounding wire and they will not give us a definite answer for a fix. The car continues to lose electrical and stall and is now unable to be covered under warranty due to the fact of the mileage is at 60,100. I see this as a manufacturing fault with the electrical system and Hyundai should take care of this major safety issue at no cost to the consumer.
