Break failure on highway causing MVA- multiple attempts were made to slow down and break vehicle to no response what so ever. Pressed breaks all the way down, nothing, no air, no resistance, no sounds, vehicle kept on going. In an attempt to save myself from an accident that could have been much worse, I jumped out of the moving vehicle, landing the back of my head on the cement highway floor toward left end of bumper. This vehicle is not safe and should be taken off the roads. I have 2 toddlers and am traumatized. The vehicle stopped after some impact in the middle of the highway. From the moment of receiving this car there has been some sort of issue with it's breaks. Initially short stopping on it's own when gas peddle not pressed- had the setting fixed for that to then experience multiple whiplashes for no reason while driving. …
Shortly after purchase, I observed damaged/torn underhood insulation and reported the condition to the selling dealership, with concern that the vehicle should be inspected for related issues. Prior to a crash incident, I experienced concerns involving braking-related behavior and advanced driver assistance features, including lane assist and object/collision warning functions. During the crash, while reacting to a roadway hazard, the vehicle swerved and struck a pole, and I did not experience warning or intervention from driver assistance features as expected. Following the incident, a diagnostic pre-scan identified multiple faults involving brake control, radar sensors, image processing, and communication systems. Since the incident, similar concerns have continued, including recurring braking/driver assistance concerns, and the issues remain unresolved. …
On [redacted] Me and my son were in [redacted] in one of the basement garages. Parked successfully the first time inching the vehicle forward without issues and stopping as needed. 2nd run, got into parking spot got close and stopped 1 foot away from wall. Attempted to inch forward, lightly and quickly tapping on accelerator to disengage auto hold/brake and move forward but car did not respond. Repeated the action, quickly and lightly tapped again no response, then all of a sudden car lurched forward, I jammed on the brakes with no response and car hit the wall. I have my 2024 Prologue at the Gillman Honda Body Shop and gave instructions to service advisor to pull data from my vehicle.
On 2/19/2026 I was taking an freeway exit ramp from I 15 south to Carrol Carrol canyon and I stepped on the brake but the car did not slow (my perception was it was speeding up), the vehicle collision warning did not sound and the vehicle did not emergency brake, therefore I hit a stopped vehicle at a stoplight. The air bags did not deploy. Attached pictures: Left side is the vehicle was rear ended. Right side is the Honda Prologue
Took delivery of vehicle 11/19/24. Had the vehicle 10 days. Let another vehicle out of the driveway & upon pulling back in got "brake system failure" alert and the car would not stop rolling not matter how hard I hit the brake. I had to push the brake button. The "one pedal driving unavailable" alert also came on. Towed to dealership same day(11/29/24). They tell me it's a software update, but their system won't connect to the car because they need a software update. Finally get the vehicle back on 12/11/24. FOUR DAYS LATER & the same problem again. Brake system failure, one pedal driving & service stabilitrak alerts come on while going to leave my house. Towed again the next morning(12/16/24). Brake booster ordered 12/17 with no ETA. 2 days go by with no communication from them. I ask what's up. Still no ETA. I mention lawyer on Monday the 22nd & wow my part is there on Tuesday! …
While driving my 2024 Honda Prologue, the automatic emergency braking system (part of Honda's Collision Mitigation Braking System) has activated unexpectedly and forcefully multiple times - with no obstacle or vehicle ahead. The most serious incident occurred on [insert date], while traveling at approximately [insert speed] mph. The vehicle suddenly slammed on the brakes without warning or any visible threat in the road. The sudden stop caused whiplash injuries to my wife and two children, who were passengers in the vehicle. We did not crash, but the vehicle behind us narrowly avoided rear-ending us. I have attempted to get the vehicle serviced, but the nearest dealership told me there is a wait time of over a month, so no diagnostic has yet been performed. …
Description of Safety Defect: The Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) / Forward Collision Avoidance system is severely malfunctioning. On multiple occasions, the vehicle has experienced "phantom braking"-abruptly slamming on the brakes for no reason whatsoever. There were no obstacles, pedestrians, or vehicles ahead to trigger the system. This malfunction is happening at high speeds on major highways. Safety Risk and Impact: This issue represents an immediate and terrifying safety hazard. Unexpectedly slowing to a sudden stop at highway speeds completely compromises vehicle control and leaves me at an extreme risk of being rear-ended by high-speed traffic. It is a severe danger to myself, my passengers, and every other driver on the road. …
Suspension Related Issue: CV Axel Joints causing clicking, which is the most common issue among users of this car. Apparently the Driveshaft needs to get replaced as well. I got the right side done as the car was pulling to the right before the replacement, but the other part is on back order with no ETA. Been driving this way since October 2024. So I will believe for now that it's safe to drive the car as per dealer's recommendation to do so. Braking: The One Pedal feature turns off at random when starting the Car. Almost got into an accident not knowing it was off. Dealer cannot replicate the issue, but it happens to me randomly. It's to the point I have to check that first before operating the vehicle. Could be the memory of the vehicle not retaining the settings. Blind Spot Warning: The sound notification has recently turned off and is no longer working. …
