On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, I took my 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid to the dealership for a routine oil change. The service team told me that all systems showed the vehicle was in good condition. They advised me to return for my next oil change and regular maintenance. I did not drive anywhere on Thursday, November 27, which was Thanksgiving Day. On Friday, November 28, while driving to work on the highway, the engine warning light turned on and my car began to slow down. Pressing the accelerator did not help-the vehicle would not speed up and lost power while I was driving on the highway. This was a very stressful and unsafe situation. I had to pull over onto the shoulder with a line of cars behind me. My car was towed to the dealership. The dealership said they could not find anything wrong with it. However, I experienced a clear and serious problem. …

**Loss of propulsion at highway speed - 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid Approximately 3 months before submitting this complain, I was driving my 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid at approximately 60mph when the vehicle suddenly stopped responding to the accelerator pedal. The gasoline engine was still running, but pressing the accelerator produced no propulsion. A dashboard warning light came on. I believe it may have been the check-engine light, but I do not recall with certainty whether it was flashing or steady. I had to bring the vehicle to a stop and turn it off and restart it. Propulsion returned after restarting the vehicle. The incident was dangerous because it occurred at highway speed and left me unable to accelerate with traffic. Restarting the vehicle restored propulsion, but I am concerned that the problem could recur unexpectedly. …

Two incidents where the Engine suddenly shut off. Incident 1 (August 4th): We had come to a complete stop at a traffic light. After a few seconds the engine shut off (we had Auto Start/Stop disabled), the dash and radio briefly stopped and then the dashboard's indicator lights lid up as they would before a car is started. We put the gear shift into Park and restarted the car. It started right away and we had no issues for 1 week. Incident 2 (August 11th): While pulling into our inclined driveway and almost stopped or just stopped, the Engine shut off again (this time Auto Start/Stop was active) and the car started to roll back. We applied the brakes, the car stopped. We put the gear shift into Park and restarted the car. The car restarted without problems. …

My wife reported that as she was making a right turn, driving home in the rain, the radio screen slowly faded to black and then the dashboard went black as well. There was a loss of power but the car did not turn off. The vehicle is a hybrid and it appears that the car was running using the battery as after a short distance the radio screen and dashboard both came on. She does not know if the check engine came on. This is the first time this has happened. If it happens again then I will take the car to the dealership and have it checked out. I am reporting this as it seems that others have had similar issues but so far a common cause has not been found.

Day after bought car, battery dead and all lights lit up on the dash when tried to start. Dealership gave a 256 point inspection and said car passed all elements. Jumped battery with a jump pack then battery started smoking and leaking fluid. Had dealership tow and diagnose problem, replaced the battery. Two days later started car on a cold day and check engine light started flashing and car went into limp mode. Would not accelerate on the highway past 35 mph during heavy traffic leading to unsafe conditions. Drove to service center at the dealership while still flashing and not accelerating. Dealership said it was a cylinder misfire.
