I was driving in stop and go city traffic and came to a stop at a red light and noticed smoke or steam coming from the hood. Upon pulling away from the light once it turned green, I noticed I had reduced acceleration and pulled over quickly. I have yet to get it in to the Honda dealership but will shortly. Upon roadside inspection from a mechanic, it is confirmed the the cvt transmission plug has come off and the transmission has lost fluid. Additionally, when turning left, the car will jar around and rumble if you turn the steering wheel too much.
I have a 2015 Honda Civic that I just came back from the dealer with because they warning light for my airbag came on. At the dealership the code was cleared and I was told that it could be a cable reel and then reading the report from the dealership, it states that it could be a faulty airbag I feel this is very unsafe, and told let's see what happens. I feel this is unsafe for me to be driving a car with a faulty airbag and possibly a cable that doesn't work. My vehicle has 71000 miles and is always maintained.
On on my dashboard due to a faulty malfunction in my ABS module that can only be done at Honda dealership and has to be removed only by Honda and sent off for Honda to rebuild and then sent back for them only to replace Seems ridiculous to pay $3000 for this when it's all over the Internet that this is an issue this is a computer issue this is ridiculous that this isn't there is no recall for this for this for this Honda issue it's all over Youtube this is the number one issue that's going around
Hard to steer to the left and car pulls to the right if you let go of steering wheel. Yes it has been reproduced & confirmed by the local dealer, & i was told this case usually happen when car was involved in accident but my car has never had any accident, there is no warning light, i thought it has something to do with alignment, i had it aligned early this year and i was told to have the power steering rack be check.
Transmission failed on the freeway December 2021. I was suddenly unable to speed up or accelerate my car. Placed me, my passengers and other people on the freeway at serious risk. Many cars braked suddenly behind me and swerved out the way to prevent a car accident. Dealer at the service center denied a problem and was inspected by them. No warming lamps or messages.
My steering computer is bad. The steering wheel goes the opposite way. I've taken it to the dealership and they're saying that the computer software and the whole computer needs to be replaced and affects how the way the car steers and is aligned.
I was on a trip in my 2015 honda civic and going down the highway and all of a sudden the RPM went way up and then the vehicle lost power completely. It left me stranded in the middle of nowhere. Turns out the CVT belt came apart causing metal fragments to gather on the speed sensor and make it malfunction. This is a common know issue and well documented on online forums. The cause of failure is excessively high hydraulic pressure within the transmission due to a computer programming error. A Honda recall updated the software. Some Civics have an internal component that was not hardened as much as it should have been. Honda believed they identified, by manufacture date, the Civics that did not receive that weak part and therefore left those Civics out of the recall. However, many, many other Civic owners including me have still experienced catastrophic failure of our transmissions. …
My daughter (17 years old) was driving at 35 miles in leona valley ca on last Friday 2015 her Honda Civic (7,000 miles on odometer). Her car low-pressure air light came on and then car started to swerve violently left to right. Within few minutes the car brakes stopped functioning (according to her, it felt she was pushing on air when she pressed the brake paddle) and then the steering wheel locked. The car ended up on its side and caught fire. It started a brush fire (25 acres) here in ca. When my daughter and her two friends tried to get out the door, the other door won't open. They had to jump out of the sun roof. The question I have is what caused the fire and why did the car's brakes and steering wheel locked? What do I need to do to find out what needs to happen in order to get to the bottom of root cause of the accident?
