The contact owns a 2021 Ford Mustang. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a popping sound coming from the front driver's and passenger's side wheel wells. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while making a turn or while reversing. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer where it was diagnosed with failed front strut seats. The contact was informed that the strut seats needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. In addition, the contact stated that the failure had started shortly after the vehicle was purchased. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,130.
Catastrophic engine failure while driving at highway speeds in dense traffic led to seized engine and highly dangerous situation. Root cause wasn't determined due to volume of damage. Three pistons, rods, and crankshaft where shattered beyond recognition along with a cracked block. Engine was highly maintained and showed no signs of failure prior. Completely torn differential bushings around the bolt sleeve with low mileage and roughly a year and a half from build date. Personal research shows that this is a highly common issues that remains unaddressed by Ford and safety agencies.

I was driving my 2016 Mustang gt base model down a straight road with the traction control "on" and the car randomly locked all of the wheels and turned sideways into oncoming traffic and only stopping when I hit a curb. While sliding there was no throttle or brake control because the traction system locked all four wheels. I went to the Ford dealer previous to this instance to complain that the front suspension was noisy and the vehicle was hard to control on certain road surfaces and it felt very unsafe. After giving them this information they scheduled me for an appointment a week later and let me drive off. Subsequent to say, the vehicle totally lost control 3 days before the appointment. Road surface was dry, it was sunny 94 degrees and I was traveling at 40mph on a straight road and my vehicle has 26K miles. …
While making a slow turn I heard a popping noise then the steering locked up completely. I shit the car off and started it again to regain steering and get the car home. I used FORSCAn to retrieve codes U0401 and U0415 for the PSCM, both codes have same time frame. This indicates the PSCM lost communication with multiple modules at the same time during a low-speed turn, resulting in loss of power steering assist / steering lock. This is a safety issue as described in Ford Recall 19S26, but my VIN does not show this recall as applicable. Vehicle has not been repaired. Codes have not been cleared and are available for inspection.
The Aluminum cast Crossmember that supports the transmission is cracked and split in several places .Shifting and or jumping in or out of gear .The dealer wanted $800.00 dollars to replace a $132. part That is hard to find in the marketplace ,because of others buying these faulty parts up ! No warning signs except hard to shift , cracked part was found by Benson ford in Easley S.C. The car has less than 70,000 miles on it . No warnings whatsoever !
As I drive my car over bumps (speed bumps, going up or down in parking garage) the car grunts or squeaks. I bought it brand new on March first of 2014, and I noticed the problem not too long after buying it; I assumed it was normal because my previous 2007 Mustang had the same issue. I told some friends who suggest I take it to Ford. When I was describing what the problem the service tech new exactly what it was. They had a recall for 2011 to 2013 mustangs for what appears to be the same issue. They repaired the lower arm controls in the front. The issue is now gone. It sounds like the recall should be extended to 2014 models. I have a 2014 Ford Mustang 3.7l v6 with the performance package. The following excerpt is what I believe to be is the same problem addressed in a previous recall. …
