The paint on my white convertable Mustang has been peeling for the last 3 years above the windshield,I have been spot patching it. Well the other day while washing it the paint on the rear panel just flew off and has water under an extremely large piece that will soon fall off without getting it repaired.the paint has always seem to not really been adheared to the car well.have also had to have the front bumper repainted prier to this. What is wrong with the paint? It should wear out not fall off!

My name is james. I am writing on behalf of my wife. There was no failure of equipement. My complaint is that your records show a recall for my 95 Mustang concerning the hood. The recall was initiated in 1997. I purchased this vehicle from a "Ford dealership" in March of 1998. At the time of purchase, we knew of the recall from a friend with the same make and model. We specifically asked if it was taken care of. The salesman did an inquiry and we were shown a printout which confirmed that our VIN# did not have any recalls. 6 months later(sept), we received a recall notice for the item we specifically addressed. The top of the hood separating from the body of the vehicle could be fatal. Fortunately, my wife and I are good drivers. I cannot begin to tell you how angry I am. …

This year model is a lemon. Ford knows this. I have had two recalls on car. I had to replace my head gaskets which cost me around 1,000 dollars. It took Ford months to refund my money . I bought the car knew it had a chip in the hood. When the dealer repaired it they left tape under the hood. I didn't now about the tape until I tried to trade my car in and they found the tape. The dealer told me he felt the car had been wreck and repaired. Well there goes the trade in value of my car. I called and e-mailed Ford about all of these problems and all I get is I am sorry that you have had such a bad experience with Ford. We hope in the future you have a better one..I will never buy another Ford car. Every car they build has major problems. They take your money and in return you get a piece of junk.

My son was driving on 410 highway when the hood of his 1995 Mustang separated and flew off onto the highway, I thank god he was not hurt nor anyone else. We learned about the hood separation when a friend told us about the recall and we called jennings anderson Ford, they said to bring it and they would replace the hood. My husband recently passed away and we were on our way out of town when the dealer said they would not fix the hood recall because the car had been repaired in an auto accident, the accident did not affect the hood what so ever, please help, thank you.

Driver's seat belt is fraying very badly whenever its in use. It would seem to catch onto something when being pulled out to use, and retrack back afterwards. Been to dealer and repaired under warranty 3 years ago. Currently, problem has reappeared. Snice not under warranty, no free repair. Doors do not close properly due to window hitting roof. Roof was repaired under warranty also. This caused window to be out of alignment.

1995 - Ford Mustang convertible white v6 - paint is peeling off all over the car and has not had repeated sun damage but keeps chipping and chipping and chipping. Nothing has been done to fix this problem. I am a college junior and do not have the funding to fix this problem. Ford should pay for using bad paint!

NHTSA recall 97V-180 · Oct 20, 1997 · 769,000 vehicles

Vehicle description: passenger vehicles and Mini vans. Tearing of the bond between the inner and outer hood panels during minor front end collisions can result in a gap at the leading edge of the hood. Air forced between the inner and outer panels can produce enough pressure to force the outer panel upward.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect the hood area for any damage along the leading edge of the hood. If there is any evidence of bond separation, the hood will be replaced.
