On [redacted] while traveling south on [redacted] at highway speed (in heavy traffic), multiple dashboard messages started to flash, and the car came to a stop in the middle lane. Thankfully, the people behind me were paying attention and did not hit me. I could not get the car to start or put it in neutral. I called 911 and police were dispatched. They blocked two lanes of the highway to push the car to the side. I was able to override the emergency brake to get it into neutral. It was put on a flatbed and taken to Kings Ford for diagnostics. Kings Ford service said that there were pins that came disconnected that resulted in this. They said this was resolved. I have not had a recurrence since, but I can no longer trust the car. My concern is that there could be other 2024 Mustang Mach-E's with the same issue that could result in someone getting hurt. …
While driving the vehicle electrical console started flashing then lost power and stopped dead in the road. The battery was reading between 70% to 80% prior with a range of over 250 miles still available. Due to complete lack of any power the car could not be moved or placed into neutral for towing. It caused a traffic situation blocking 2 lanes of traffic for approximately 4 hours waiting for roadside assistance for jump start and towing. EV's cannot be towed like a regular car and not having access to the electronics made the car like a brick. Eventually I was able to attain assistance with a jump start that was able to provide enough power to drive onto the back of a tow truck and to the Ford dealership. …
After a few days in garage attempted to drive out where first upon engaging drive selection, releasing brake pedal, and slight throttle, a clunk and jerk launch occurred. With each subsequent wheel rotation there was a scraping sound synchronized with a torque dip in the propulsion. drove 1-2 blocks up street up to ~5 MPH and this symptom followed exact with speed. Stopped car, tried reverse a block, same thing, surging like propulsion with apparent torque dips in sync with speed. Repeated in drive, then reverse a few times, then parked back in garage to be towed into dealer. I put masking tape on steering wheel AND on Windshield saying not to drive over 2MPH to witness the symptoms. Upon receipt at dealer, was told symptom was then repeated, therefore car would be held for a while as it would need to be torn down and analyzed to find the cause. …
On 2 occassions in the past 2 week, our Mustang Mach E has accelerated on its own. In the first incident, it was a minor acceleration. It caught me by surprise as I was pulling up to a curb to drop off a passenger. It was easily stopped with brake pressure. In the 2nd incident, the acceleration was greater and more pronounced while pulling into a parking spot, requiring the pressure of both feet to quickly stop it before it went up onto a sidewalk and into a store front. It's never done this before, but certainly could cause an accident and was unsettling. We have not taken it to the dealer because it is random and not replicate-able. There were no warning lamps or error messages at the time. The vehicle was functioning and acting normal otherwise.
I had put the vehicle into One Pedal Drive mode for the first time on the morning of Aug 29th. Vehicle operated as it should for first few places I drove to and stopped, but then I approached a red light, removed foot slowly from accelerator and vehicle came to a full stop as it should. Approximately 2-5 seconds later, without warning or even the collision avoidance system activating, my vehicle suddenly accelerated into the rear of the stopped truck in front of me. Fortunately no serious injuries but someone could have been killed. My foot was NOT on the accelerator at the time - it was hovering over it while waiting for the light to change to green. My vehicle was taken to Ford for evaluation, but they claim it has to be repaired before they can diagnose/confirm the issue. I am the original owner with no previous accidents or incidents.
On November 18, 2022 my vehicle's High Voltage Battery Junction Box (HVBJB) failed. Ford replaced this part with an "upgraded" version of this part and I received my car back on November 28th. Shortly thereafter, the NHTSA issued a recall, the solution for which was a software update that my car received. On October 10, 2023 my vehicle's HVBJB failed once again (the newer upgraded part). Coincidentally, while my car was in the shop, the NHTSA issued a second recall for this issue, indicating that Ford would be recalling the physical HVBJB. Shortly after this recall, my recall was marked as complete because I received the upgraded version of the part once again. …
While parking in a garage the vehicle unexpectedly accelerated and ran into a wall. Anyone in or around the car may have been seriously ignored. The issues has happened twice but can not be reproduced by me. There we no indicators that the event was about to take place There is a recall for this on the vehicle type but not for the date of my manufacturing.
Bricked Mach E Extended Range with 10K miles and recently completed the roof and windscreen recall the week prior. Went to brunch and then came out to a car that would not start. Warning of "Stop Safely Now" even though the vehicle was driven to the location and then sat for 2 hours and was currently parked and still gave us this message. Low voltage (12 Volt) came in slightly low at 12.6 VDC. Attempted two jumps from another vehicle and a higher amperage tow truck with no change in error code nor would the vehicle "start". We resulted in doing a tow to a dealership for potential repair. Dealership has had it now for going on the third week. They are citing the replacement of the battery bus where the Low Voltage 12 VDC interfaces with the brains and main battery system. This has been cited before in the Mustang Mach E blogs. …
