The contact later became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V209000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) that he related to the failure. The contact stated while his son was was at a complete stop at the traffic light, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was able to restart with a 15 seconds delay. Upon making a right turn, the failure reoccurred. The contact's son was able to restart the vehicle; however, the failure persisted upon making a left turn. The vehicle restarted with a 30 seconds delay. The contact's son was able to continue driving. However, the failure reoccurred the next day while coming to a complete stop. I leased the car through my bank on May 5th 2016 with just over 35,000 miles. Two months into that the car didn't start and all electronic lights were flickering. It displayed transmission malfunction. I towed the car to a big Ford repair shop. They said it needed a new transmission update and a new clutch. They took care of it. This has happened seven (7) times since I got the car May 2016. Pretty much every four months. It is completely inconvenient and costly. I have also been having problems with the EVAP fuel components. I have a check engine light on now and it needs to be serviced. The last time I got a transmission update from Ford was in March 2019. My car now barely has 66,200 miles so it's very disappointing the amount of work and transmission issues I've had to deal with. I still owe $4,800 on the car. I leased it for $12,000. …
My Ford Fiesta 2014 has a recall with the module valve. At present I took it into the shop 3 different times. 1) richmond highway 2/2014 2) 9/2015 and 3) 3/2016 at present my car has been in the shop for 10 weeks
My 2014 Ford Fiesta suddenly stopped running on the interstate 4 during rush hour (approximately 5 pm on May 12 2017). The car was running and it stalled randomly. I restarted and it would not run. After towing it to the dealership, they determined it was due to a fuel pump malfunction. It was mentioned how unusual it is for this to occur on a car with relatively low mileage. There was no warning before the car broke down. No check engine lights. No strange noises. It just stopped. This could be extremely dangerous. After being informed what the issue was, I researched the problem. There was a recall for Ford fiestas manufactured between April 30 2014 to May 21 2014 (recall # 14s30) for this exact issue: fuel pump failure. The recall notice states that if the fuel pump fails, the vehicle May stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash. …
I purchased a Ford Fiesta vehicle in 2014.while driving on the highway the car automatically stalled and shut down completely like a kill switch has been turned off driving in traffic. This all happened within 1 year from purchase of vehicle. Then a similar situation occurred in 2015. And now again, in 2017 the same exact issue with the fuel pump/system automatically stalls and shut down completely like a kill switch has been turned off while driving in motion on the highway in traffic. I am totally dissatisfied with the purchase of this vehicle because of the danger my life was put in while driving on the road. This was a very pricey investment that I did not expect to or should be experiencing regarding several life threatening issues and defects with the Ford Fiesta. Especially in such short period of ownership. …
The car is having acceleration issue. You need to press heavy on the gas for it to move from stop position or on a slight slope. When driving the car at times will jerk when you try to speed up on the highway to merge lanes. The RPM at times will jump. The issue is a safety concern especially on the highway. Today the car would not go up a slope. The started to roll back. This is a real issue when there is snow. I'm scared to drive the car. I have taken it to the deal ship 2 times now. Last time I took it they noted that no fault found at this time.. So I guess nothing was fixed. I noticed the issue within the 1st year and the deal ship said the needs at least 20km and computer system will kick in or something to that fact.
My car stalls right after I fill up my gas tank with gas. This has happened to me when I am leaving the gas station, once when I was driving through an intersection and many times when I am pulling into traffic to leave the gas station parking lot (almost at a complete stop). My own mechanic tested the problem and said it was my purge valve which I learned was recalled for some fiestas but my Fiesta VIN is not included despite having the exact same problem that was recalled. I took my car to a Ford dealer and he said they would not fix the problem unless I paid for a repair.
Back passanger door opened while driving and will not latch closed. Called Ford and even though there is a recall on this matter with my make model and year, my car is not included and they want over 500.00 to fix. On top of this my car tries to stall everytime I go to excelerate from a stop and also when it goes from 1st to 2nd gears. I was told when purchased that it was me not hitting the gas hard enough, however I do not find this is the case
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 Ford Fiesta. While driving at approximately 40 MPH, the vehicle stalled. In addition, the contact stated the air conditioner only emitted hot air. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was awaiting diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V402000 (fuel system, gasoline). The approximate failure mileage was 72,000. Updated 11/09/15 updated 01/20/16
Vehicle stalls randomly and dies at low speeds, Ford will not address it as a part of their recalls, was told I need to pay for all repairs out of pocket, very dangerous to drive on the highway and sporadic occurrences of stalling. Engine and wrench light will randomly come on and off before the vehicle begins stalling. It will quite literally sieze up on occasion and not be able to accelerate. Vehicle will also randomly die in the middle of driving using gears 2-3.
