Recently when I got in my 1995 f250 w/manual transmission I depressed the clutch pedal to start it up & the pedal went to the floorboard & stayed there. What I found after inspecting the clutch pedal was that the end of the rod that goes into the master clutch cylinder broke (this is connected to the peddle). This rod appears to be plastic on the end & metal going into the master cylinder. My concern is that this seems to be a safety issue. If I was driving this truck and this rod broke while I was trying to stop quickly (or stop at any time) then it would have been very difficult to stop since the clutch wouldn't have engaged. I have photos of this part as evidence if needed.

Dealer claimed when we purchased this vehicle that it had an airbag restraint. However according to my owners manual, it should have an SRS marking on the center of the steering wheel. It does not. It also has an airbag indicator light on the dashboard, that should light up whenever the ignition is turned on. It dosent light up. I checked the fuse panel diagram to locate the fuse. It clearly indicates a fused location for the airbag circut. However upon examining the fuse panel, the entire section where the airbag fuse should be, is not there. Leading me to believe that it has been disconnected. I also know for a fact, that this vehicle has been in an accident. I found overspray on the moldings on the drivers side of the vehicle, and a 4x4 decal on the drivers side is missing from the rear panel. I truely believe that the airbag has been deployed, and it was not replaced. …

Axle problems with travel trailer. Amount of carrying axles under these vehicles , not sufficient in size or strength to take the load or road punishment without failing. The consumer noticed that the vehicle did not pull properly. There was a side to side pull as it went down a down grade and would wander as it pulled down the road. This problem eventually increased to a violent whip. Upon inspection, it was noticed that there was a lot of uneven tire wear due to axle misalignment. The axles were found to support 8285 pounds. The vehicle has had transmission/and or electrical problems since it was purchased. Every few weeks the engine computer picks up a troubled code. The code is tcc/or torque converter clutch failure.the vehicle then goes into safe mode, and runs on predetermined values set by the engine computer.the transmission shifts extremely hard during this condition.(automatic e40d). The dealer has been notified, and has failed to correct the problem. I have taken the vehicle to 2 transmission shops, and they cant find anything wrong with the transmission. Since this has been an ongoing problem, my next course of action is to seek relief under the used vehicle lemon law.

Problem first came to my attention when I started noticing a clunking noise followed by the front 4 wheel drive hubs ingageing when proceeding from a stop. The problem is quite clearly premature ware, and possibly a safety problem. As the vehicle was technically off waranty (6 months), Ford offered to pickup 1/3 of the cost, the dealer 1/3, and myself the remainder with little debate about it. Ford however refused to pickup the remainder of the cost.

As a result, consumer's foot released clutch, and vehicle started to travel forward while consumer was still laying down. Transmission cooler plugged up. Local transmission shop told me this was a very common problem on Ford trucks. This could have been prevented had we known of the problem. We could have put an after market cooler on the truck. Now, I was informed that it will cost me over $2000.00 to fix fords mistake. The warranty has expired because of time, not milage so I guess I am stuck. Please help.

Dt: the contact stated the bolts retaining a bracket for the front end failed, and the front axle was allowed to move around. The contact went to the dealership and ordered the parts to fix the vehicle by himself. He had not spoken to anyone a t Ford about the defect. He still has the defective parts. The bolt held on the driver's side differential frame.
